but I can tell you where a real good bluff wall is on Percy Priest where you can load up your livewell with spotted bass. The points on the ends will hold lunker LMs and SMs if some wind will kick up across them too.
You taking a boat?

If you're trying to stay in walking distance from the Ryman,

I would definitely go hit the bars in Printer's Alley above the tourist-infested honkey Tonks on South Broadway. I mean, it's worth a walk down the Broadway strip to drunk watch, but not the chillest hang.
Another place I like for a drink is the rooftop bar at Acme Feed And Seed at the corner of 1st and Broadway. I like it b/c it's less crowded and is overlooking the river and the Titan's stadium....pretty cool spot. The new food hotspot downtown is 5th and Broadway....tons of places in there to eat and drink. If the weather is nice, I like the patio at The Southern---I'd book on open table now if interested.
Johnny Cash museum is cool, as is the country music hall of fame.
An Uber ride away is the Gulch and 12 South....places that used to be good for getting shanked but now are new areas that have cool restaurants in them and beautiful people. Jack White's Third Man Records shop is in this area too.
Old Nashville sights/sounds---The Station Inn for the best Bluegrass you'll ever hear (but you're seeing BS so you'll probably have your fill), take a tour of RCA Studio B on music row, see the Parthenon's exact replica in centennial park (next to the Vandy Campus).
East Nashville is cool too...Edley's BBQ is solid, as is The Pharmacy (for burgers--get there early), and the Southern Grist Taproom in East Nasty is cool too.
If you have anything you're considering and want an opinion on it (I got opinions for days brah), just LMK. Would try to sync up for a beer but got a million house chores this weekend in preparation for family coming in next weekend for graduation. Have fun!

Speaking of East Nashville...

Willmo® needs to check out I Dream of Weenie, which is a hot dog joint in a VW microbus. Dang good hot dogs too. Also Fanny's House of Music is always worth a stop. Probably the most eclectic music store you'll ever venture into. They have instruments...but they also have records, collectibles, and used clothing. Every time I've set foot in there they've had some article of clothing that some artist has worn on stage.

http://www.vinyltapnashville.com/Vinyl Tap - Nashville Vinyl Tap is a Neighborhood Bar & Record Store that features craft beer side by side with new and used vinyl. Located in historic East Nashville, visitors can expect a great craft beer selection and an eclectic mix of vinyl records. Daily specials and live music weekly. All are welcome! its pretty sweet
And Southern Grist is right across the street.

I'm a vinyl nerd but I stick out like an almost-50 year old turd in a punch bowl in that place, which actually makes it sort of fun too.

was Phonoluxe. Nolensville Road, kinda towards the Hispanic part of town. I could sneak over there during lunch and browse.
Geez they had a shitton of old vinyl and used CDs. Probably dropped a couple $thou in that place over the years, $5 at a time.

If you just need a quick bite on Broadway, Jack Cawthun's bbq is actually really good. They have a super solid brisket.

It's on the same block as the Ryman (just up the hill), and they do an amazing job marketing the place as a Nashville institution so it will likely show up on your radar, but their food is just crap.

better than the one downtown. Downtown Franklin is awesome---the problem is everyone realizes it's awesome and they've all moved there now. The traffic gridlock there and in Brentwood is staggering.

does Brentwood still have the "one acre" regulation?
May 3, 2022, 1:24 PM

years ago, every house in Brentwood had to be on at least a one acre lot.
I thought that was a pretty good rule, just wondered if it was sustainable forever.

The northernmost parts (lovingly called Brentioch for its residents' insistence on saying they live in Brentwood while really living in Antioch) are not palatial estates.

If you aren' in a giant rush (this way adds about 30 minutes to the trip), it's a much nicer drive to take 76 out of Westminster all the way to 74 and then come in on the East side of Chattanooga, vs going down to Atlanta and up.
