Hey fellow Tigers Could use some prayers

My family is currently in New York City 12/18 and we are supposed to fly back to Asheville today at 10:30. My 9 year old daughter is with us and has had the time over life. She went to bed perfectly normal tonight and is now up about with a pretty rough cough and high fever. Just say a prayer that we can at least make it back to Asheville and her fever will come down. Thanks guys.

My best buddy's daughters have had some horrible bug that kept his 2 young girls with fever of 102-104 for almost a wk and they just shook it. Seemed like they were getting better and then 4hrs later worse than they were. The two got it about 3 days apart so he was on edge for like 10days. They are 6 and 4, everyone kept assuming Covid but it never tested positive. Some other virus? They had to pack ice in armpits and or put in cool baths to keep temps down.
Anyway, good luck with travel. Hope she recovers quickly! Wish you all well!

Praying. Keep her hydrated with fluids. For the fever you can alternate Tylenol and Advil every three hours. If necessary, rent a car for one way and make the drive home to Asheville. Please put a N95 mask on her if she boards a plane.

Done! Keep us posted. My son and daughter both had high fevers but they shook it in 3-4 days. Hope you make it home safely and she can get lost of rest in the comfort of her own home.

We made it home safely. The Tylenol meds that I was able to scrounge around New York and find brought the temp down to where she was actually fairly lively on the plane ride even eating a few of those tiny pretzels. Got to an urgent care locally and she has an ear infection and tested positive for Type A flu. Keeping her hydrated and resting, continue to pray for quick recovery and that she can keep down the antibiotics for the ear infection and Tamiflu (not sure she will be able to stomach the Tamiflu she has a pretty bad gag reflex).
Again Tigers thank you for all the prayers they we felt all the way home.

thanks for the update. sounds like the trip went better than one might expect. I've heard of people having a terrible time on a plane when they have sinus or ear problems ... glad this seems to have not been visited on your daughter. If she can keep down the Tamiflu she should bounce back soon.

Glad ya'll made it. I am two weeks into type A flu and still not fully back. It's really bad this year. Get some Zofran from your doctor just in case it goes after her digestive system (like it did to me). Will continue praying for yall.
