Agree. He was so inconsistent with us that it was maddening. For a play or 2, he’d look like the guy we thought he was. Then, poor effort, missed blacks and inopportune drops.

Maybe he will do OK. The majority of players that have left Clemson have not had much success. There's been a few but not many.

Our problems over these past few years have been mostly on the qb play.
Shocker! A starting WR for clemson that dabo said was an nfl WR transfers, and is a likely starter at another elite university.
Our fanbase attacks the WR and assumes he did not know how to run routes or get open.

Yea. We still have plenty of WRs the likes of Mike Williams, Artavis Scott, Ray Ray, Tee, Martavis Bryant, Jordan Leggett, Deion Cain, Renfrow, etc.
But it’s mostly on the QB. Gotcha.

Im sure deshaun watson would have been one if the worst qbs in the ACC last year if he had to play with our crappy supporting cast.
If we had deshaun or TL, we would have been in the playoffs the last 2 years.

We were close to being undefeated last season, it’s not like we weren’t close to being very good against some good teams.
Our turnovers & injuries hurt us from being a one lose team.

Yeah we were very close despite having one of the worst qb's in the acc statistically. If we had an above average qb, we would have been much better offensively.

The thing is, people watched the games and they compare them to the good receivers and good QBs we've had previously.
This last two or three years completely fail those eye tests.
You can blame the receivers, and I do, but the QB play has been poor to middling.
We would have won a national championship at least once the last couple of years with a Taj Boyd or Kelly Bryant level QB.

Since we are just making totally unfounded assumptions, I’ll say that DW4 would not have won a national championship with the receded had the last 3 years.

Actually if Cade started 2nd versus USC year before last would have taken TCU spot after loss to K State to make playoffs. If had kicking game last year probably would have made won ACC made playoffs.

He started for Clemson. Notre Dane doesn’t have better players than Clemson. Of course he starts . He transferred bc he’ll get more publicity at ND and if they’re decent they’ll be ranked usually 10 spots higher than they deserve (usually.) but never doubted he’d be one of their top receivers. He’s got a ton of experience.

I would have liked for him to stay, get healthy and work on improving. He is very capable but it will take work and toughness to be a good starting WR.
He gets bored easily in my opinion.

Not sure he leaves he if was not planning on playing. Takes too many plays off from what I observed. Honestly glad he moved on and glad he found a landing spot. Wish him nothing but the best unless he plays Clemson.
People have their opinions on Cade but the WRing corps of late has not really helped him out.

Regardless of QB play, Beaux C would have sat the bench at Clemson from 2011-2019 and the fact that he was one of our best says a lot. I expect TJ Moore is going to make us forget about Beaux. The sooner he gets in the better.

The amount of WR's and players in general we've had transfer and amount to nothing or more the same is higher than the amount that have left and became better football players. Everyone sit and think on that for a little bit.

He was just a hit and miss type of player, big play potential was there and flashed at times. But inconsistent and got lazy on plays, I can also remember so key drops in games...one in the SC loss. Maybe he steps it up to prove a point, but I think he was what he was and is what he is.
