I prefer shalom for peace mean end to physical conflict but shalom goes to the soul. The best way to describe it is to consider Eden, Adam walking and talking with God and the presence of complete satisfaction which is unachievable in this flesh.

I was a teen during most of the 1960 and didn't turn 20 until 72 so you can imagine peace was a big deal at the time. We have peace now but we can only struggle to surrender to Him to come close to shalom.
