Heres the pic

Picture showing the ball in the pitt players hands with the backboard red.

That's just enough proof for Swofford to agree

Mar 8, 2014, 6:32 PM

the refs made the right call on that one!

First, you can't tell from that angle if it is still

touching his fingers. And, it's not the red light, it's the clock that counts, and they were not in sync. Absolutely nothing definitive there, not enough to overturn.

not arguing with you...

but why wouldnt they go by the clock and light that the players see right in front of them?
Is it standard to go by another shot clock not above the backboard?

also...how else are his fingers bent back on the ball?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Totally disagree. The clock was at 0.00

and the ball was clearly putting pressure on his fingers and hadn't started rotating yet. Those are signs it's still being influenced by his shooting hand.

It was a HORRIBLE call and one that cost Clemson the game.

The players get the blame for even getting it to that point, but the refs decided the game on the call.

Too close to call.***

If they didn't have replay, I'd agree.

Mar 8, 2014, 6:45 PM

But if they saw what we saw, then it was an easy call to make. It's also why they have replay, to figure out these close calls.

how can clocks that are synced together not be in sync. Pretty sure the clocks on the backboards run together.

If the clocks are not in sync, then they could not even call a shot clock violation if close

Facts don't matter for ACC refs.***

They say it goes by the light?
