The government, Biden himself, has said there is no more funding. That isn’t misinformation at all.
Private citizens have worked hard to help others while FEMA gets its ducks in a row.
Helicopters show up and accidentally mess up some stations by flying too low.
FEMA effs up and sends out electric chainsaws instead of gas.
Locals take advantage of others and charge them inordinate amounts of money to piggy back on power.
Locals with equipment price gouge on everyday supplied and services.
All of this can be true at the same time.

Without proof you can say anything you want. Like, it was an accident. That’s really an opinion because it can’t be proved unless you were there or you know him and he told you.
This is just as provable as the conspiracy theory that says the Biden Admin doesn’t want to help these people out so they can keep them from voting. I mean it arguably looks that way. But it just can’t be proven.
Just like whatever that helicopter did there. I’m sure it was an accident. Right?

1. Charge battery at location powered by generator (unless already powered). Charge a bunch of them. 2. Take batteries and chainsaw outside. Leave generator. 3. Do work.
Surely you thought of this.

How many batteries do you have? I have 4 for my Dewalt stuff, and that would run my sawzall/electric chainsaw for a couple of hours tops. Probably not even that, especially cutting big oaks. Then I would spend the next couple of hours letting them all charge. I ran my gas chainsaw off of 3 gallons of premixed gas for over 2 days, I also had to park my truck and trailer probably 3/4 of a mile from where we were actually cutting trees. We had to cut a path just to get to the house we were working at. I would spend more time ferrying batteries back and forth to the generator to charge than actually doing any cutting.
Electric chainsaws are not made for this type of work, light duty homeowner stuff OK. Storm cleanup like this, no way. I've done more sawing in the past week than you have, and I'm telling you how stupid this is. Especially for folks in the mountains, I had relatively flat land to deal with and it still would have been a huge PITA to deal with.

And did the weird "some of y'all haven't spent time outside" invalid flex.
I wouldn't use a battery powered chainsaw by choice either, but what do you expect them to do? Especially if gas is short?
I've done more sawing in the past week than you have, and I'm telling you how stupid this is.
Great; I had done more than you had by the time your balls dropped. Why are you attempting these weird outdoorsman flexes? You're not some big country boy over everyone else. I grew up in the woods of Spartanburg; my dad and grandpa had me out driving a tractor and doing labor by the time I was 10. Reminds me of these #### Mt. P kids running around here with empty flexes. Really, it looks silly.
I got to help cut up downed trees at age 11 after Hugo. Where do I land on the outdoorsman cred scale?
I get it; it's not a perfect solution but let's call it what it is: Y'all are going to complain about ANYTHING done because it's become political and it shouldn't.
Point is, gas is still short, is it not?
And finally, we have no way to confirm what we're looking at in that picture or whether or not the government sent it. Who knows who is lying... just like so many others.

You know, because I have one. Hence the generator comment. It wasn't a flex, it was illustrating that if you think electric chainsaws are a solid solution to this kind of storm clean up, you have no idea what you're talking about. You aren't going to get much use out of an electric chainsaw either in a situation with no power and short on gas. In fact, I'd wager you'd use much less gas running a gas chainsaw than you would powering a generator to charge batteries.
Do you think I've never worked outside? I just have a tractor, saws, etc. for the fun of it? I don't care how much work you had done by the mid 90's, that's irrelevant. What's with the knee jerk reaction to defend everything govt. does regardless of how silly it is, anyway? They couldn't have provided gas saws?
It's almost like you take it personally when somebody criticizes govt. actions, particularly in this case. I also like the lack of self awareness it takes to accuse me of "weird outdoorsman flexes" and then make this comment:
"I grew up in the woods of Spartanburg; my dad and grandpa had me out driving a tractor and doing labor by the time I was 10. Reminds me of these #### Mt. P kids running around here with empty flexes. Really, it looks silly."
Guess what? I, too, drove a tractor growing up, running equipment, etc. I even still do it! And if you thought about this critically for 5 seconds instead of defaulting to attacking what I'm saying, you would realize I am right. In fact, I think you do since you concede it's now what you would use by choice, either. But for whatever reason you've taken this personally so it can't be let go.

I get it. As I said, I'd rather use gas, too, but that might not be practical at the moment. We also don't know A. Where these were delivered. B. If they were actually sent by the government. C. Who they're for.
Do you think I've never worked outside? I just have a tractor, saws, etc. for the fun of it? I don't care how much work you had done by the mid 90's, that's irrelevant. I do think you have. I think your attempt to pretend to be more of an outdoor country boy to a bunch of people who most probably grew up out in the #### sticks because of this one post is silly. It was a pointless and silly flex.
It's almost like you take it personally when somebody criticizes govt. actions, particularly in this case. I also like the lack of self awareness it takes to accuse me of "weird outdoorsman flexes" and then make this comment:
Nope. I think it's just not helping the situation by trying to get ridiculously political over a picture that you know nothing about. We don't know what it is or why it is.
"I grew up in the woods of Spartanburg; my dad and grandpa had me out driving a tractor and doing labor by the time I was 10. Reminds me of these #### Mt. P kids running around here with empty flexes. Really, it looks silly."
Because your post was absurd: CAC noted that the post claims no power but there's light on. Hence, generators to possibly power the chainsaws.
Your response to that is, "Some of you have never worked outside and it shows." That's a ridiculous response to his post, and if I'm taking bets on who has more experience working outside, I'm definitely putting my money on the ####### veteran cac2011 over you.
My response was to point out how silly yours was. It's not personal; you sometimes have a bad habit of trying to lecture people who are older and experienced about things when you're just making assumptions about them. I wasn't debating the validity of electric chainsaws; I'm pointing out how your response was unwarranted.
You're the one who made the leap that someone never worked outside because he points out the flaw in the Twitter post statement/picture.
We get it. You've worked outside before. Congrats. So have most of us. I'd wager there aren't a lot of people on this board who grew up city folk.

replied to was. Let's look at the logistics of using an electric chainsaw during a disaster. You have 2 options:
1 is to haul a generator everywhere you ago, across creeks, downed trees, up and down hills, etc. to keep batteries topped off. Many of these areas are not accessible by vehicle, whether it be tractor, truck, or gator. You could get by with less batteries, but given they only last an hour tops, you'll need to keep some charging constantly.
2 is to ferry batteries back and forth to a centralized location with a generator. Again, crossing creeks, downed trees, hills, etc. You would have to have somebody running batteries almost constantly to keep up.
Neither of these scenarios is really feasible for a long duration. If you think it is, you have no idea what you're talking about, and have probably never used this equipment before. Because if you had, you would understand how unworkable it is. This is not trimming limbs at your house work.
You also have a habit of lecturing people, older does not mean more experienced or wiser. I know many older folks like to think they've got everything figured out just by virtue of being older, but that's not the way the world works. Not to mention I'm almost 40 at this point, it's not like I'm 17 spouting off with no experience.
He claims they don't have power because they don't, the grid is down. They're running off generators. Reference above why electric chainsaws are stupid in this situation. So his snarky little post got one back, and for some reason you've taken offense.

I went back and read my posts and I apologize for the tone. I mean what I say but not how I said it.
You also have a habit of lecturing people, older does not mean more experienced or wiser. I know many older folks like to think they've got everything figured out just by virtue of being older, but that's not the way the world works. Not to mention I'm almost 40 at this point, it's not like I'm 17 spouting off with no experience.
That's a fair point and I've met my share of older idiots on this site over the years, so touché. But I liken it back to that boat lecture post you gave me on the Lounge a while back; you made a lot of assumptions there like you did now and it wasn't even close to accurate. Like, I get it. You were surrounded by free loading ######## growing up when it came to boats. I wasn't raised that way and always knew great boat etiquette when invited out--and a lot of people are that way. In that same scenario, you overreacted to someone's joke and pretended to have more experience.
As for all your technical points on the equipment, I get it and I don't disagree at all. But my point is that if this picture post is real, that may be the best they can do at the moment. And that's a big if as to how real it is. There's been a lot of made-up BS about this relief effort.
I know hauling a generator back and forth or batteries isn't ideal, but if that's all you have and a job has to get done, that's what you gotta do.
EDIT: I know you're not some kid, and for the record, I think you're a very intelligent person and value the discussions.

Blackhawks show up, and they're just destroying supplies.
Which is it then?
It's obvious the liberal-controlled military industrial complex designed the blackhawk helicopter to have such a big wind field specifically to destroy rescue and recovery efforts in hurricane-damaged areas.

Because there is no way of getting to them. I bet hundreds, if not thousands, of miles of road has washed out in western NC. Also, the government is just too big and slow to provide all the aide needed. Locals are doing a much better job, IMHO. If .Gov can drop a trailer and help out 1,000 people or 10 people, which are they going to pick? Living remote you're on your own. It sucks, but that's the reality. If you can't help yourself, you need to be prepared to wait.

Perhaps they were trying to land to drop off/pick up aide and when everything went flying they called it off and flew away trying to avoid further damage.
When I was in western NC on 9/29 and 9/30 I saw Blackhawks and Chinooks doing drops from the vantage point of our property. By 10/5 and 10/6 when I went back, power had been restored in the area and lots of clean up had happened. The local Ingles was even partially restocked on cold/frozen items. I saw far fewer helicopters but heard a bunch. They clearly shifted aide to much further out.
FEMA did not try and steal any of the items we brought either weekend. FEMA did drop a trailer of water and canned goods at noon on Monday, 9/30 in Etowah. The National Guard was palletizing all the aide dropped off at a warehouse off 26 in Hendersonville and sending trailers out to the local drop zones.

By the way, notice how the narrative has shifted?

First it was: that didn’t happen! That’s just a crazy conspiracy!
Next it was: you are a dangerous racist Nazi for spreading misinformation and harming rescue efforts!
Now it is: well ok it did happen but it was completely an accident, the government says so!
Next it will be: yes we are intentionally screwing up volunteeer supply centers and here’s why that’s a good thing!

Long story short, it wasn't a conspiracy.

where do we see something getting destroyed as the title suggests?
And then you have the explanation from the National Guard about what happened. You did see that, right? I mean, no way you would just post something really misleading without first trying to see if you can learn any more about what happened...right?
