Anyone notice that CLEMSON has a lot of "Firsts" since Dabo

became HC? Or at least "First" in a long while.
First ACC Championship in umpteen years. First BCS bowl game winner (Only team in the state) First CLEMSON team to have 3 10-win seasons in a row First CLEMSON team to beat 2 SEC teams back-to-back
The list probably goes on forever, but now...
This will be the First CLEMSON team to win on the road to an SEC team in the opener.
Remember to thank a dawg next week after the game.

playing the fsu team from last year. It's Hutson mason, it's not even the same team we beat last year the team they have now couldn't beat Nebraska. We have no reason to be afraid of georgia. I don't even want to imagine what people are going to be like the week before the semiholes but I hope people are telling our players the same thing and that they don't stand a chance.

Well, I know it comes off as a flame, but it is just as important first to you as it is to us. Some of you can say it's just one game, doesn't matter as much as some of the other firsts, whatever, but most of you would admit that's not the case.
Dabo has done some great things at Clemson. He is a great recruiting and has capably hired great or at a minimum very good co-coordinators and assistants. But the first I mentioned has to be considered with the other positive firsts, as it is something that could ultimately make or break him. If he wins a few against us in the next several years this goes away, but if not, and he stumbles to an 8-4 season somewhere...how much rope does he have if this continues? It IS important.

and I think you are very correct - 7,8 in a row and the road will be very rough...deserved or not. Wining 10+ is nice - losing 7 in a row and a 8 win season ... lot o' racket.

I have to be honest, and this might not be the popular perspective.
With that said, could we really consider running Dabo out of town if say we win 11 games the next two seasons including maybe an Orange Bowl win or two, but we also lose two more to the coots?
Don't get me wrong, I HATE losing to them, but in this scenario I can't imagine running Dabo off either.
Thoughts?

because of the talent drop off. 10 maybe. But if we get back to winning 11 the two years after that, and still have not beat the coots, I think Dabo should stay. Winning 11 games is great, no matter who that 1 loss is to. He should not and would not be fired for that.

gives the doomers ammo.
In fact, it's the only thing that casts a negative light and for many, overshadows everything else that's been accomplished during the last 5 years.
I'm tired of it, both losing to you all and having so many fellow Tigers think it invalidates everything else.
It must end this year.

Try again...
once you get your facts straight.
1. Not the first Clemson team to have 3-10 win seasons in a row. Not to mention, today's teams have an extra one or two games to accomplish the 10 win mark.
2. Not the first Clemson team to win two consecutive games versus the SEC.

Clemson has defeated an SEC team on the road in its opening away game(1977); just not in its first game of the season, which was also a road game.
Say that one fast 3 times.

Don't get to excited about his firsts and keep it in perspective
1 been to OB 3 and won 2 previously call it BCS or whatever still the same easier to get invited to OB when ACC get automatic bid
2. Easier to win 10 in regular season when you play 12 vs 11 games
