and that Clemson was a pretty good school and we were an up & coming sports program to their overall success since we had less than 10 Natties.

I held my email tongue but would have said that if we won 34 more Natties to tie them, I’d like 30 of them to be in the sport they have none (I believe)..

Only six of them have been in basketball and I can’t remember one in football so what are the other championships in?

22 in wimmins soccer.
6 in field hockey.
1 in wimmins bassitball.
2 in wimmins lacross.
5 in men's lacross
2 in men's soccer

0 baseball
0 football

At the time they won most of those women's soccer championships, most schools didn't have women's soccer.

Now that almost every schools does, they are no longer winning championships.

You can apply the same logic to women's field hockey and lacrosse.

2 football national championships in the modern era is more significant imo than all their championships combined. Certainly I would not trade places with them voluntarily.

Casually remind him that our student athletes are expected to flourish in the class room before they flourish on the filed/court.
