After auditing the social security system DOGE found a dude getting social security that is 369 years old. They found almost 13 million over 100 and one over 200 and one aforementioned 369 years old! What does this mean? Well, experts are saying by cutting the fraudulent claims that every individual receiving social security could see an increase of $1500.00 per month. They also claim the total payouts would only be 2/3 of what we’re spending now. Factor in the Bill to remove tax on tips and social security and we could be talking about a major boost in the living conditions of millions of disabled and retired Americans.

I don’t understand the hate from people about trimming the federal spending to common sense levels. Instead of $200 million dollars to Bangladesh for gender friendly coffee why not that amount for housing for American homeless people? Instead of $3 million dollars for LGBTQ musicals in a Muslim country (who do not accept homosexuality in any form), why not $3 million dollars to pay for drug addiction treatment?

Hasn’t this been the goal of every American? To see the pork cut from spending bills? To see Americans taken care of before we try to change the rest of the world?

I get that Congress has the power of the purse but that system has been broken for a long time. Too many spending bills that were over 2000 pages long with insane programs hidden deep within. So littered with pork they wouldn’t allow anyone to read it before a vote. Pass it to find out what is in it. The democrats pushed most of this and the Republicans caved and have benefitted from the same system.

Before you call me a Republican I’m going to be honest. I am a Libertarian that has voted both democrat and Republican. Most don’t deserve my vote. DOGE is a GREAT start. It’s restoring my faith in America and has me believing the circling of the drain has finally slowed down.

Why do you believe what you are being fed by Elon, Doge, and Trump?

They are playing fast and loose with truths and half-truths and it keeps getting revealed and yall keep ignoring it.

Look, I admit I'm deeply biased against believe Musk on anything. I've watched him mumble promises about breakthroughs for at least the last 5 years and seen those promises dissolve into nothing. I admit that the evidence that would be required for me to believe his claims is likely greater than it would be coming form other people... however I also try to be honest and set that bias aside... but I just don't see any credible evidence supplied.

I see grand claims with an excel spreadsheet screenshot attempting to make wild claims that are clearly aimed to sound outrageous and plausible to folks predisposed ot believing them. Then when folks without that predisposition look at the information they easily see though the poor data review practices used to gather it.

So the choice then becomes is he/Doge being dishonest or are they inept.

Because it certainly appears to be one or the other.

I'm on record believing there is likely (almost assuredly) fraud and waste in any budget the size of the federal government, and I'm all for trying to find and remove it. With an actual audit done by experts with bipartisan oversight.

Don't confuse whats happening now with that.
