I think we need some fire on defense. If Barnes never plays another down for us I will be fine. Any time he is behind the play he just quits. Watch the film! It is embarrassing. We need a Skalski or Boulware type player and a Venables type coach to get after them.

That being said, I see Sammy Brown as one that can become that guy. Plays with fire and passion. Unfortunately sometimes he is not in right place yet

Skalski and Boulware would be about 5 miles behind the play.
They were good at stopping the run up the middle and occasionally the blitz.
Neither could cover a wide receiver or running back.
( that’s why they are not in the NFL)
I don’t but the fact that you think Barnes gives up on plays.
But maybe these guys you see him give up on He knows that He can’t catch them.
Hear me out! Clemson is far better than you are giving them credit for!
