Not defending Aaron Hernadez

Sep 26, 2017, 11:08 PM

or advocating any changes to the sport, but this is interesting. The guy obviously had issues outside of this, but it probably did not make things any better for him.

hard to understand why a guy with 40 million dollars and everything to lose would murder 3 people in cold blood

lol, we have no proof sloth got dropped on his head, just that he was locked in the basement and only fed fish heads for supper.

This wasn't the first time he'd killed.

agree, the dude definitely had some screws loose from the get go. Just very interesting about the severity of his injuries. very possibly could have been dropped on his head or strangled by his umbilical cord.

He took so many shots to the head that it made him gay , then it made him murder someone to keep the news of his gayness from getting outed .

CTE is a terrible thing indeed .

CTE otherwise known as TBI

Sep 26, 2017, 11:49 PM

It causes a wide variety of issues. Anxiety is one of the first and noticeable symptoms. I suffer from a severe TBI on the right side of my brain from an IED explosion that fractured my skull and dislocated my shoulder. Here's a list of symptoms that are most common:

Anxiety
Panic Disorder
Sleep Disorders
Hearing loss or sensitivity
Vision loss or sensitivity
Loss of feeling both physically and emotionally
Neuropathy
Ringing in the ears
Temporary dementia (recurring)
Aggression
Sudden loss of control or violent outbursts
Memory impairment
Speech impairment
Inability to socially adapt to surrounding settings
Self destructive behavior
Substance abuse as a result of improper coping methods
Hyper sexuality/ loss of sexual interest
Cognitive Impairment
Inability to reason
Deteriorating central nervous system

Can also lead to:
ALS
MS
Parkinson's Disease
Alzheimer's
Strokes

I suffer from quite a few of those symptoms, but my symptoms wax and wane. The brain is self healing if you give it time and don't abuse substances that could aggravate the injuries. Everyday seems like a struggle some days, and other days I feel like a rock star. I still deploy, as I tend to get bored, but one day I won't be able to. I've had doctors tell me that I more than likely wouldn't live a full life. As you get older, it deteriorates into worse stages. Then the inevitable occurs; death.

Our country won't go on forever, if we stay soft as we are now. There won't be any America because some foreign soldiery will invade us and take our women and breed a hardier race.

And yet we have the "right" to be disrespectful to the flag & our country. Such a shame.

Thank you so much for your service to our country & for defending our freedom. Thank you for sharing this with us too. God bless you sir & I hope & pray that you can always overcome the things that you deal with from your injuries.

readers, you will leave with a worse case of CTE. Really makes me wonder how we ever stormed a beach in Normandy or put a man on the moon. We are in the midst of the total wussification of America!

MY only issue with this article is that we have no way of tracking where this C.T.E. came from. Yeah, I guarantee that some of it was caused by football, but how much of it was from him fighting as a kid? Or from doing stupid extreme sports? Football obviously has a problem that will hopefully see drastic changes in helmet design over the next few years, but I don't like blanket articles like this. The research and technology will catch up though.

kinda hard to pin that on the league. But nothing will stop an attorney and a "grieving" wife from suing.
