Umass cannot miss and we have struggled to make. It's as simple as that.
It's 1 game 3,000 miles from home. I wouldn't mail in the whole season based on 1 half!

Beating programs from 1 bid leagues is to be expected. Right now though, Brownell is looking at his 12th loss to a mid major program, when his predecessor had 2 in 7 years.

That is literally all you have. I will post good job next time. I didn't watch any of the first 3 games.
My issue, as you know, is with no specific game. It is with where our program is. We are in our 6th year of Brownell and seemingly not close to the NCAA Tournament. We returned 4 starters last year and couldn't make the NIT. There is a clear pattern of this team not improving, especially compared to what OP was able to build here.

I post after wins too. Haven't this year since I haven't watched a game until about 8 minutes of today.
Real fans also don't take kindly to their team quitting rather than playing in the CBI. Real fans also don't make excuses when the team has the same problems every year.

Ive never said I was happy with the current state of the program.
I have said the complete opposite. I however am not a pathetic loser who only shows up during losses.
I have said numerous times Brownell gets this year and next to get back to the NCAAT or he is gone.

You trashed Leggett after losses all the time, so same thing here.
I agree Brownell gets 2 years, but he has done nothing to deserve it. It makes the most sense to cut ties and hire Will Wade.

I was at NCC and Texas Southern and I thought we could easily win this tournament but we have got to make some buckets soon to start out the half and play some D we turned it on against Texas Southern so maybe we can do the same. Grantham has to score for us to win.

Simple we knew the first 3 games were meaningless. We all know we will be cellar dwellers this year when ACC play begins, yet you and others will be urging everyone to just give Brownell more time.

Combined their rosters you wouldn't have a average ACC team. Clemson isn't very good and the team has gotten worse every year since Brownell took over.
He can't recruit it's obvious,the of South Carolina had four 4 star basketball players with ties to this state this year which is rare, he got zero. UNC 1, USC 1, VCU 1, and Yale 1. He brings no energy to the program and fan support has declined. I'm sure he's a great X's and O's coach like some of you say, but this game is about players and he can't get ACC talent.

We have 3 on our roster, go check the rest of the ACC. We will lose to UNC, Duke, Miami, FSU, NC St, ND, Louisville, UVA, Pittsburgh, and Cuse.
If you're happy with the direction of the basketball program under Brownell then that's your right, but I'm not happy and I think this will be his last season.

Overall, our fans expect a great team yet are unwilling to put up the money or fan support basketball needs to be a competitor. Pretty low basketball I.Q. as well, as evidenced by most of the basketball posts on TigerNet.

I think our fans are as good as any other school's basketball fans. It's the product that's the issue. Our fans aren't stupid. If we had a consistently quality program, people would be commenting how great our fans are.

I got spoiled.. FR year was our year with Boogie, Big O, Buckner, even Wideman and Iturbe. Been kind of downhill since.
I always hold out hope, but overall see a stagnant program.
I'm not smart enough to know if Brad is the answer or not. I am smart enough / experienced enough to have seen and not get excited over even a 10-0 start. Its a long season and these early games build experience but don't tell us a lot about the team. It takes time and consistency to gain persepctive.
So with a #1 football team and more early season bball that won't tell us too much about this team, I'll follow the games live when possible and the boxscores otherwise.

And some oh those that have given up on Clemson basketball and Brad B. were probably crying when CTB (well half the teams lost today ) was fired after 9 mediocre seasons . This season ain't over and go ahead and give up if you want to .

happens in Conference play. Anything before that point is pretty much a glorified scrimmage in my mind. I give Coach Brownell a bye on this year, having no actual home games. Next year will be his judgement year, IMO. If he is still not getting it done at that point, it will be time to move on.

We're an ACC school, we should have no issues recruiting top talent. We certainly wont be stealing recruits from the likes of Duke and UNC, but there should be plenty of amazing players itching for a chance to showcase their talents in the ACC. Yet somehow we've continued to get worse each year Brownell has been here and we have people transfer out every year. Brownell has had plenty of time to turn things around and it's time for someone new to take a shot at making this a program that can compete in the ACC.
