Going 10 for 10 is not easy... wherever you are, much less in the preseason with limited continuity and lots more variables than a regular season game. With Kizer playing big also, it's a good start for these rookie QB's. I think DW, Trubisky, Kizer, and Mahomes can be good pros, but the odds say they won't all be able to do it. From an organizational standpoint, Mahomes and DW definitely have the best shot because of the surrounding talent. I'm a homer I guess, because I still think DW is going to be a pro bowl level guy within 3-4 years.

Not gonna lie I thought taking him was stupid! But in this first preseason game he looks great. Lots of football to be played!

Agreed. Kid looks good. If we say Watson looked great last night, which he did, then the same logic applies. Time will tell, but tonight he has looked pretty good thus far.

Deshaun was very good last night, but this guy looks like the second coming of Tom Brady. He might just be the starting QB for the Bears.

I'll admit I was bitter DW4 wasn't taken as the first QB, but you have to give credit where it's due--Trubisky looked great.

Sadly agreed. He looked better. Looks like he might have hit a few of those throws Watson missed. Really, really accurate from a variety of angles.
I will say his receivers seemed to do a better job getting open than Watson's did but I was still very impressed. Can't be too upset- I've liked da Bears since before the Fridge got there.

Are a solid example of a major difference between our fan base and "others" - we acknowledge greatness beyond our roster.

Well most of Tigernet has been ripping Trubisky for months

now since he got drafted ahead of Watson. Numerous people were already writing him off a week or two ago when he was fumbling snaps in practice (which was ridiculous).
Also, I'm not sure anyone has spelled his name correctly yet in about 2 dozen tries.

He ended up with a couple more completions than DW4 , with the same amount of TDs ( his passing and DW4's rushing ). They both looked solid and I bet the ownership and coaches of both franchises are giddy .

I call ######## on that. We acknowledge only because many here have no choice. Not because we have perspective or a greater understanding of appreciation than other fanbases. Quite contrary.
No, this fan base was brutal to Trubisky because Chicago 'disrespected' you.
However, those that ripped on Trubisky on draft night can relax. Its one game and there is a whole career coming up for the guy and you will have many opportunities to rip him over the next decade.
