Based on the reporting Belichick laid out pretty clearly the investment commitment from the university to get him to sign on. Given his pedigree I'd wager he's done his research on what it takes.

If he can keep any players. He does not have the personality to work with 18 year olds that do not have to be there. This is taking a big chance for NC. If this does not work their football program will be set back years.

The only personality required by the HC is to wag his tail around the big donors and to attract and retain top shelf position coaches.
Big NIL money and the benefit of being coached (ideally) by position coaches who are actually competent will be more than enough to attract the necessary top shelf FB players.
I don’t think Belichik is anything close to a truly great NFL coach, but neither is he bad. He’s deserving of a reputation as a good pro coach.
UNC has massively upgraded from Mack Brown. Mack was never much of an actual coach. His thing was a charismatic personality, which mattered before this current environment of ~ professional athletes playing college FB.

Hah!
No. Some driven players who want an NFL shot will go and transfer in, but what happens when he tells them they don't have what it takes? It will be turnstiles in and out.
Can you see him jetting all over and sitting on recruits' couches trying to convince their mom?
Can you see him putting up with prima donna bs from a freshman?
Agreeing to massive NIL payouts to kids he doesn't think deserve it?
It may work for a year or two, but he was not easy for seasoned pros to play for, what would he be for dumb*ss college kids?
With coaches running to the pros or the booth he runs in the other direction. Could be brilliant. Could be stupid.
We'll know soon enough.

I agree with much of this but I bet he won't even have to get involved with recruiting as he'll probably delegate those duties to his head coach in waiting. I'm sure he'll play host to recruits when they are on campus but, unless it's a 5 star QB, I wouldn't be surprised if he never leaves Chapel Hill to do any kitchen table groveling.

He has won 6 super bowls. He's going to be getting paid well and have his way with program. He has plenty of money, I'd think the idea of also winning a college football championship might appeal more to him. I think UNC makes the playoffs next year after we beat them in ACC champ.
