It was in the top of the 9th and it only tied the game at the time. But it was iconic regardless. One of the clutchest home runs I've ever seen, and one of the greatest Clemson baseball moments of all time in my opinion, certainly one of my favorites. I remember listening to the game on the radio when it happened. It was in 2016, Beer's freshman season. Clemson had lost the first game at the Doug, then won game two at Flour Field. This meant the deciding game of the series would be game three at Founders Park. In the top of the 9th inning, Clemson was down by one run. There were two outs. Beer was the Tigers' last hope up to bat. He worked a full count. So the game-tying solo home run was hit on a 3-2 count with 2 outs in the 9th inning, with the Coots only one strike away from winning the series. Instead, the game-tying shot from Seth allowed Clemson to go on and ultimately win the game and the series in extra innings. You could hardly have scripted it any better. That's what made it so amazing, not just the homer itself, but the situation in which it came.
