Hate to pull for Sakerlina, but...

Beating their butts when they're ranked in the top 25 helps us if we win out and win ACC Championship. Ensures we get into playoff. Lots of ifs but I believe in our tigers. (I feel sick for having to pull for the chickens).

You must not know Dawg fans. I pull for the dirt peckers one day a year. Dawgs are worse than coots.

A) No way does Clemson making or not making the playoffs come down to South Carolina being 8-3 before our game as opposed to 7-4 or whatever.
B) They are currently unranked, and while there isn't exactly a "others receiving votes" category in the CFP rankings, they aren't even receiving votes in the AP poll right now. I don't see how they move into the top 25 by beating a 3-5 Florida team that has completely fallen apart followed by beating Wofford.

You’re overthinking this and causing yourself unnecessary stress. Win out and Clemson is in, guaranteed.
No need to worry about chickens.

Uh - CLEMSON is the defending National Champion. We lose one road game due to 2 missed FG's and we're out??? LOGIC FAIL. Good grief.

They don't look at it like that. That would still be a loss and part of the game. What they do know is that we were basically without our QB.

SCar being in the top 25 does not help us. We've already proven we can slug our way through ranked opponents on the road. We've already beaten more ranked opponents than anyone else in the country, if I recall correctly, and 3 of those were on the road. Our SOS is as solid as anyone's.
We'll already get another highly-ranked opponent in the ACCCG if we get there. (I suppose UVA still technically has a shot at winning their division, but come on.) If we don't make the ACCCG, we don't deserve a playoff slot anyway. So having SCar ranked in between now and the ACCCG does nothing except raise their levels of arrogance and delusion.
Long story short: don't pull for the chickens, ever, unless it *directly* benefits Clemson. In this case the benefit is indirect at best. An argument could have been made last week that SCar beating UGA would have directly assisted us, but I was still happy to see them lose.

the one time I pull for them a year against Georgia. I would pull for North Korea against Georgia. The rest of the year they fade into obscurity and I don't care whether they win or lose, they are an irrelevance to me until they play Clemson, then they are the enemy.
