Most of the time they are drunk. I can't understand clucking anyway.

There is allways SOMETHING you can say.
Maybe you could direct attention away from the baseball
sweep by saying how happy you were to see the coots beat Kentucky,or that finally they won an SEC regular season title( ok, so it was ladies basketball).
Maybe you could talk about a South Carolins boy(Russell Henley)winning The Honda Classic or how much you admire the fabulous work our Governor is doing in Columbia.
I know I am grasping at straws, but isn't that what a broom is,a stick with a bunch of straw attached at the end.

Hate it for Grandkids

Mar 2, 2014, 7:33 PM

My kids grew up believing that a coot win was an anomaly and KNEW we were dominant. Tonight my 7 year old youngest grandson asked me, when the game was over and we turned off the computer, "Why do we always lose"? He can't remember a football win and he doesn't care about basketball. Our memory of dominance is getting old and the kids only know losing and frustration and the way we look after a game, they feel it; they hear from classmates. We have got to do something.

For those of you who think it is just a game, think about how you feel when a coot holds up a 5 or tomorrow when your office mate comes to work with a broom. Maybe we can laugh it off and remember the good old days but the kids feel it, don't you remember.
