(1) He will have better options
(2) I don't see him leaving before next year with all the talent on the table. Another banner year only gives him more $$ next year
(3) He's a Texas boy and I think he may go back West where he knows recruiting
(4) After the sacrifice Dabo made for him, I think there is at least enough loyalty not to leave after the first offer, especially NC State
(5) With all the uncertainty of the ACC, I can't see a coach wanting to jump on board just yet without a very lucrative contract, which NC State isn't going to pay

By the same token, if you're Chad Morris, you know that your offensive scheme works against ACC caliber competition.
It might not work out so well in other conferences with deeper talent top to bottom.
Chad may view N.C. State as the perfect fit. Don't we as fans argue that it's better to be the dominate element in a weak conference in order to benefit from the easy path?

Also adding that NCSU is in a pretty good place now and doesn't carry the baggage of an Auburn, Tennessee, Arkansas, etc. Places that want you to win now even though they have some serious issues.

We need every program in the ACC to do as well as possible if we are ever going to get any real national respect. I, for one, don't want to end up at 10-2 because we beat a bunch of average and below average teams. It's embarrassing. If we are going to be stuck in the ACC for an extended period of time, it will do nothing but help us for the other programs to improve. Otherwise, days like yesterday will keep happening and push the ACC and all of the teams in it further toward irrelevance. It's hard enough now to get into a nationally relevant bowl, and the playoff won't make it any easier. We have to get better, and hope the teams that we have to play every year get better too.

SEC fans get criticized by ACC fans about us chanting SEC SEC...we pull for our conference...yes we want to win when we are on the field facing them as an opponent but we also want the teams in SEC to succeed.
