Has anyone else noticed

That the first pitch to beer, more often than not, is a fastball right down the middle? And he takes it every single time? Plus, and I'm not a coach, but why doesn't he back off the plate a bit? Or open his stance up? There was a pitch today he could have crushed but he jumped out of the way of it. And it was subsequently called a strike. But like I said, I'm no coach, and I haven't seen 90mph fastballs since 2007, so I don't know lol

Sure it's a fastball and not a change up?***

You don't know the TNet rules. Here ya go-

If Beer is struggling it's because:

1) They don't pitch to him
2) He gets BB so much that he's out of rhythm
3) He's putting too much on himself.

He was good last year so he doesn't get held accountable this year by TNetters.

Beer needs to make adjustments in the batters box. Pitchers are letting him get himself out because they will rarely
throw him a good strike to hit, especially a fast ball. I'm no college coach but it works at all levels. IF I was the coach I would try him in the lead off position to see how other teams react. He sure isn't a good cleanup hitter right now

With his high OB% that would probably be the best place

for him, except he's not exactly the swiftest guy on the team.

Open his stance? He's too open as it is. He's standing too far back in the box and too open, trying to get a good look, which he gets in spades, but often doesn't do anything but look. He needs to move up in the box, take a square stance and swing at anything that's in the strike zone. The way it is for him and some other Tiger hitters, RH pitchers can have their way with him by throwing sliders that break under his swing.

Yes he crowds plate for some reason..

A lot of our guys take strike right down center of plate.
