Happy? likely the answer to your question is yes, you are the only one. I'm ok with it as he at least provides depth. I also saw a LOT of blown plays on his part last year so...

Put his son on the field over better, more deserving players (kinda like BV did). I don't see him talking his son into staying home without a low key promise to put him on the field now that he is co-DC. Love the Wes promotion but have never liked the Conn promotion.
