The Clemson basketball fan base had largely become cynical, grumpy, and defensive. As a basketball fan, I can say I’ve seen it in other basketball fans first hand. The recent influx of positive football fan energy, however, has been a breath of fresh air, and you can tell the team has responded. The players are having fun again, and are taking full advantage of the opportunities presented to them. As someone who has been a Clemson basketball fan, and CBB defender for many years, I want to personally thank, and welcome, the Pawsitive Clemson football fans and their undeniable energy and enthusiasm! Much of our recent basketball success is due to you.

Spot on and most assuredly headed for POTD. A couple addendums:
I would have to add the excitement and enthusiasm surrounding Dabo's actions, coupled with Luke and Boulware crushing it on the recruiting trail with football players whom also play basketball has definitely injected nitro into our bball team.
And Coach Bakich with shirtless banana ball and the announcement of the beer garden ignited the matchstick. Great job Coach Brad and team!!!

Whenever I come across an applicant who’s a Clemson football fan, I hire him/her/they immediately. His/her/Their positive impact on the work environment is contagious. I once hired a Clemson MBB fan but my turnover tripled, my productivity tanked and he kept reheating leftover shrimp in the microwave.

which I've been saying for years: win more games. His taking my admonition to heart has really done wonders for our program. I shudder to think where'd be if I -- and, I'll grudgingly admit, many others -- hadn't informed him of this course of action that he had been overlooking.
Secondly, it appears as though he's also heeded my counsel to stop shoving players while the ball is in play. So a couple of good wins for him right there.
I'm glad to see Coach change his ways and listen to someone wiser.

As a lifelong Clemson fan and Alum I've always been interested in all things Clemson no matter what the sport is. I can't see how some of our fans can be so fairweathered.....I support them no matter what, but it is definitely more fun to support them when they're winning.😁🐅🏀

personally I tend to influence people in a positive direction and I am not swayed by their negativity or reasons why they can’t do something. Sometimes it takes a while, like 15 years or so, but eventually that can do attitude that won’t allow itself to be weighed down with excuses takes root and big things begin to happen. It doesn’t matter if you’re at home, on the road, pep band or no pep band I hold the firm belief that our Pawsitive attitude will guide us to success in the face of insurmountable adversity.

Almost all of the football fans you reference - have also been basketball fans. However, they did not support mediocrity and Brads results and progress. Separate the two issues.
Quit trying to make them the same issue.

and with the recent scuttlebutt involving several of our Hoops players joining the football team in the offseason, I imagine their confidence has received a serious boost, improving play on the court. I would not be surprised if they are already working with the football conditioning staff and receiving pointers.
