Kendrick Lamar wouldn’t have been my first pick for the halftime show, but the amount of negativity surrounding it is unnecessary. If it wasn’t your style, that’s fine—but constantly complaining, especially calling it “racist” just because no white artists performed, is not a good look. We live in a diverse country with a wide range of musical genres. You don’t have to like everything, but you also don’t need to tear it down.

Honestly, I’d love to see a 70s or 80s artist perform next, just to watch younger audiences complain and give some of you a taste of your own medicine. If you don’t have anything constructive to say, maybe just keep it to yourself—something we all should have learned in kindergarten. Do better!
