I'm not convinced that we were ever that close . I think UF was his school and it would've taken a real haymaker to swing him to Clemson .
Just opinion .

Ehh I think its more making light/fun of the situation than hate on the kid. He picked what he thought was best for him and that's all you want any kid to do. I think its always more hating on the other school than the kid when commit doesn't go your way...at least I'd hope.

They have a solid program generally speaking. They had a great D last year. They are the type of a team that can be a contender within a couple of years. It's a great school too and it's in Florida where they have great HS players. They have an easier time recruiting.

Kid...even though he looks 45, made the right decision. Closer to home and our depth chart is already elite at DE and only getting better.

For whatever crazy reason my daughter wanted to visit UF last year when we were doing college tours. We visited and it was ok. The engineering students we met seemed to be pretty good kids and very smart. However, the campus was old and the facilities needed a lot of repair. No housing, no tailgating areas, and surprisingly the stadium and concourse was a really close to being in need of a complete replacement (sky boxes were big new but everything else was hurting). I cannot see why any kid would be impressed. Luckily my daughter was not impressed either and will be a freshman engineering student this fall at Clemson.

Good kid..."elite" is a mischaraterization though. Lacks speed and flexibility. I don't see UF developing him the way Clemson would have. They turn 5*s into undrafted players. We turn low 3*s into coveted prospects.

Wish him the best and glad we dont play them. Happy to see a young man going with his major and keeping his education in mind. Also, UF has had some success with DEs these past years. Still would have liked Dunlap on the squad.

went to Clemson. How I could have been a star there but I wanted to stay
close to home for you guys. You my boyz. Good luck Zack I hope it works out
for you better than Bud "I can block" Robinson, he truly could have been in the
league if he came to CU instead of becoming a blocking WR for Coach BOOM. If
Rumph is his position coach and I had to choose between Hobby and Chris Rumph
its not a choice at all. This ain't your daddy's Fla team. It is a team that will
win some games but will never win the SEC for the next 4 years as long as Bama is king.
which means a slim to none chance of getting to the playoff with out the SEC ring.

Shame. I would have liked to lock this kid up right now. Still, there is a lot that can and will happen between now and National Signing Day. If not, im not going to hate on a 18 year old just because he dosnt choose us. I wish this young man well as he seems like a good enough kid, and hope he gets a good education.
