Gville county bans all delta 8 products and above

So in the last few weeks the Gville county solicitors have banned anything delta 8 or above from vape shops. This isn’t a state law, it’s the county crushing small businesses that count on these sales to survive based on their interpretation of the law.
The issue is that the law says they can use hemp derivatives to make THC Cannabinoid which these companies did, but it ended up being too high of a THC content per these Karen solicitors. So they have stripped the shelves in all shops in the county. You can still go to adjoining counties to get said THC derivatives which seems stupid bc Gville just missing out on taxes.
I’m sure this is part of some larger conspiracy to ban anything delta 8 or above in the whole state and they are just starting w the most populous county.

not from being high, was pretty sober the whole time. Really scary stuff.

opposition in SC. This particular issue is almost exclusively due to Greenville county law enforcement, who for all practical purposes seems to be totally out of control. I would not want to get on the wrong side of a Pickens or Greenville cop, they will fugg your life up over nothing.

Brands Proliferate
The legal landscape for delta-8 and other forms of hemp-derived THC continues to shift in states across the U.S. Some states, like Florida, are moving to ban delta-8, as well as reduce the potency of all hemp-derived THC products through legislative measures, where in other states, like New York, hemp-derived THC producers are pushing back against new regulations through the courts. Delta-8 products—a particularly popular target for legislation
—are banned in 17 states and heavily regulated in seven more, according to the National Cannabis Industry Association.
Florida, legislators have moved to ban delta-8 THC production and cap the amount of hemp-derived THC in products throughout the state. The limit would make any products containing more than 5-mg. of THC per serving or 50-mg. per package illegal. The move, which passed the Florida Senate unanimously and succeeded despite considerable opposition in the House, is now headed to Governor DeSantis's desk. If signed into law, delta-8 THC products would be banned and the new THC cap would go into effect on November 1.
While the 5-mg./50-mg. limit is higher than the originally proposed 2-mg./10-mg., companies operating in the state say that it won't be enough to sustain the state's industry. In addition, the industry, along with individuals, have pleaded with Florida politicians not to ban delta-8 THC, which proponents say offers a range of medical benefits.

My wife speaks to our representatives every year pushing for medical cards due to people with MS and other things. The Republicans she talks to always tell her they agree with her on all points, but they will never vote YES on it even though they think its the right thing to do. They say it goes against their party. Ugh.
All the people I know with MS either grow it in their basement or they get gummies from people out of state. Gotta love the government telling law abiding people with disabilities what they can do. The solution is to trust them and keep taking the pills that people get hooked on. Its really a shame. Oh well, she'll keep up the fight and one day maybe the representatives in this state will wake up.
