Guys I love Scott... But

Let's quit saying he's the next OC. Clemson is in a position to pick who ever they want. We did it with Morris and can do it again. We have the $ and the players to pull someone in. Watson is an OCs dream. Scott Will be a great OC at Clemson one day but no one else his hiring him as OC and he's not leaving for a lateral move, ie recruiting and receivers. His Clemson blood is stronger than that. He won't follow Morris to be micro managed and over shadowed. We're safe there

I agree.
I believe if Dabo was giving the job to Scott, it'd be announced soon. Not potentially after the bowl game.

Exactly. We've got the $$. Worst care we quit pretending we'rea basketball school and not build a new arena for no reason and bank a little bit. We're not unc or duke. We're better. We're a football school.

But Scott knows the system and has pedigree. I think he would do well seeing mistakes weve made along the way and make better decisions based on our style. Just saying

I'd say just the opposite

Dabo has the ability to hire and pay anyone he wants. If he hires some hot new up and comer like he did with Chad, I'll support him. If he(and Chad) deem that Jeff is the guy, I also trust Dabo. Please, anyone reading this , don't bring up the Napier "debacle", because had he been given one more year with the talent he/Scott/Dabo had on the way, he'd still be our OC.

I agree. Napier was hindered by key injuries

as well as some talent deficiencies. Sort of like Morris was this year. Napier would have done great with Tajh, Sammy, etc.

We need a OC that has been in the fire. And know's how to adjust his play calling when the Defence's make adjustments. We all know The Chad was a little hard headed in that area but he was still learning major collage defence's since most of his EXP was in high school. We need the best we can get with the talent we have and what we have coming in.

Scott will get OC in his job title with a raise.

Will it come with all the responsibilities of an OC? I'm not so sure about that.

He'll def get a raise. But likely not the title. I mean he's making 100s of K to sell a sellable school. It's a dream job
