I thought exactly the same thing. Don't we have a an actual play called instead of stand still, watch the clock and throw up a 3? We're trying to win a game here and any basket from anywhere is the end of the game. That's our best attempt at getting a game clinching score?

When it was close at the end I was just waiting for it. There never seems to be a plan in the last 20 seconds of a close game. It always just seems like chaos.
But kudos to the Tigers and CBB for getting it done. Defense played really well I thought.

When you play a team that intends to go against everything that the rules stand for just to win a win game, that mean that team is nowhere close to being a team that should be playing from the ACC. Without a doubt Brad should complain to the ACC about the way SMU played that game with injuring our players and causing one player to receive a broken hand bc of the rough house overbearing sportsmanship, and those refs should be fired or suspended bc they refused to toss players from the game if they continue after what should have been warnings!!!

I think that the only thing lacking in that game was helmets, hip pads, and knee pads for our players, or a can of mace each!!!

It was absurd for the referees to call the game as they did. They were allowing football style contact to go unregulated. They finally got the final call correct when Cross #33 hit the ball out of bounds with 3 seconds left. Who was that bozo commentator protesting that call that was clearly seen on replay? He should not be allowed back.
