Where were you when you heard the news?

I am not a huge NASCAR fan, but I was upset when I found out.

I was working at Winn-Dixie in Anderson on the bypass 28 (closed now) and I was bagging some groceries and some guy walks in and bluntly said "did you hear, Dale Earnhardt died?".

Got home and watched the news and racing has just never been quite the same since.

UNC earlier in the day!!!

I was shocked that it was that serious even after seeing replays.

I like what the have done with HANS and safer walls since. JUst think the safer walls should run down the straights too. They don't hit the walls there as often but ocasionally you see someone hit another car and turn it into the straigh away wall. Seems they should protect them there just like the turns.
