Brent Venables waited a long time to accept his first head coaching job. Now he's looking back at what continues to fuel him at Oklahoma.


This is a must read, well written but should have been shared while he was at Clemson. If it would have been shared we may have lost him sooner(no pun intended).

I wish him the best unless he’s playing our Tigers! I’d hate going against his defense!

I read this yesterday on ESPN and thought it was interesting that a coach was here 12 years and we never heard any of this about his childhood... good luck to Mr Greenbeans!

There were a number of articles that mentioned BV"s up bringing and believe me it was worse than Dabo's. I remember a 3 part article series on his life but can't remember who did it. Also there was a video presentation he did as part of a fundraiser for at risk women maybe in anderson ( I'm sure I'm getting all the details mixed up) anyway he cried as he told his life story.
