Grateful For Stadium Alcohol Sales

Folks I gotta admit. I’ve had trouble recovering from some of these home games over the last few seasons. FSU ‘23, the Louisville game last year- the worst were those last two games against the #####.
I just don’t understand how yall keep getting so hyped up over our team each season recently. Someone told me alcohol makes you forget things. That had to be the only explanation. Alcohol would be available this season inside Death Valley- so I figured I’d see what all the buzz was about. I mean- the people in the beer ads always look like they’re having a good time when they’re drinking. Even the people in Michelob Ultra ads manage to stay active- roller blading and stuff like that.
Before the game I purchased a $9 can of Michelob Ultra. I did miss the flyover, and I missed the Tigers run down The Hill, but I needed something to ease the tension. I had doubts about our offense- especially the running game.
After the first 3 and out I chugged the remainder of my beer, but it didn’t make me feel any better- so I went back and got two more.
With every bad play call I nursed my beers. A run up the middle on 3rd and long- another chug.
Then something happened. I started to feel happy, and confident. I was numb to what was going on in the game. The PI calls, the lack of PI calls. I was getting more blitzed than Cade Klubnik.
I’m usually shy, but I began talking to everyone around me- especially the pretty young girls walking up the steps.
After drinking $72 worth of beer the outcome of the game didn’t matter. I was numb to everything. Klubnik didn’t see open receivers on the field- and neither did I. I realized why alcohol was so popular.
After I got home I immediately fell asleep. I didn’t lie awake in bed wondering why Dabo couldn’t recruit better running backs- I didn’t wonder why he couldn’t prepare them better during the offseason- I fell asleep on the bathroom floor.
As miserable as I felt Sunday morning, I still made it to church with the aid of my new best friend: alcohol.
Now I’m not even dreading going back to work tomorrow. I’ve been drinking all day, and I’m going to take some more of those Michelob Ultras with me to work tomorrow. Maybe I’ll even tell my female know-it-all boss how pretty she is, and she’ll give me a raise. I’m so appreciative of Clemson’s decision to sell alcohol at football games. I feel like a new chapter in my life has just begun.
