The Graduate Student Government. I'm seriously embarrassed I attended Clemson University at this point . The past 2 years at Clemson have been filled with nothing but negative attention and trouble.

This is just sad and ridiculous...Most of the grad
Sep 15, 2016, 6:58 PM
|
|
students in Clemson are international students (at least in engineering) who probably don't care about Football...and now they want to attack our coach?
I'd love to see if this particular stance of graduate student government represents all the grad students. If these are the kinds of students (and professors) who are benefitting from Alumni donations, then I don't know if it's even worth donating anymore.

It's way beyond that. Someone saying "I think the way Kapernick chose to protest is fine", would be having a different opinion than Dabo. These people aren't stating a different opinion, they are basically saying Dabo's opinion is wrong and offensive and negatively affecting the public, and demanding an apology to the students, faculty, alumni, community-at large (because Dabo talked about how great Martin Luther King was???). They are bringing unwarranted negative attention to Dabo and Clemson. People are now questioning whether they should continue to donate to Clemson because they don't want to support these students that claim they are offended at everything and then make demands to appease them.

I'm sorry,
but if the KKK had written that letter to Willie Taggart or Willie Simmons
I'd call it the same.
Off the subject, those who watched the ESPN Megacast
got to see Taggart at his best. He more than held his own in there,
and came out looking much better than Muschump and Fedora.
Good guy..... smart guy....

However, sign your names to it if you truly believe in what your doing. Let the alumni see your name. Don't hide behind an organization. Let those potential future employers know who you are if you want to make a brave stand.

Dabo's words haven't negatively affected me the slightest bit, and he absolutely does not owe me an apology. I still have no idea how anybody could take offense from what he said.
I read about this in the paper today, and these 2 idiots from the Grad Dept said Dabo shouldn't be speaking on behalf of the university (he wasn't, he was giving his personal opinion in response to a question), and then they basically said they were demanding an apology on behalf of the public. Unbelievable. So Dabo can't speak for the university (which he wasn't doing anyway), but these morons think they can speak for the entire public, when only a very small percentage of the public agrees with them. Ugh, this nonsense is getting so annoying.

Swinney should have followed his own advice
Sep 16, 2016, 2:44 PM

His initial advice (and opinion) was a team event is not the right place and then proceeded to use his position as coach at a press conference to issue a LONG retort. He should have made a brief comment and moved on because of his own position.

And they all try to find the negative in anything, and how they can spin it in their favor, for their own agenda. It's truly sad.
