Don't forget that the SEC gets a free pass with one loss, and with it being the first game of the season, it won't be mentioned again if they win out!!!

That photo sums up the SEC and Georgia pretty well for me. Bunch of cheaters and that guy would have screamed bloody murder if the refs had pulled the flag for holding or interference. Athens is a pretty cool town, but not enough to lure that Las Vegas TE that they just signed. It's not cool like Clemson, that's for sure. Kirby Smart is as dirty as Nicky Saban.

Yes it is hard to win an opening game against a tough opponent as UGA, but it is and will be just as tough for them to win as it will be for us. May the best team win without any help from the refs for either team as ND claims every time we play them with the exception of the one game that we just beat them down in the 2018 Cotton Bowl CFP Semifinal. They couldn't come up with enough of excuses for that one other than they got rolled over!!!

Exactly. And hear me out. I'm cool with not being the national champion every year. That's reality and I remember the time not long ago when what we have now was literally unimaginable. If my chief complaint is that we're not going to be national champs again this year, I'm happy.
It's a big, challenging game for both teams. The team that deserves to win will have a big win to celebrate. The other will still have an entire season to enjoy.
By the way (and I apologize if I sound arrogant, truly), for the past several 've been making long term predictions for each season well in advance. I have *yet* to be wrong. Before the 2018 season, I made the following predictions.
2018: undefeated championship 2019: natty loss 2020: scorched earth tour and a title 2021: Tigers use overwhelming talent to win title again.
My prediction stands.

Gotta disagree with one statement from the article...

"A close loss at a neutral site to Georgia might carry more weight than a blowout win over Wyoming at home."
More than likely, UGA will be considered our toughest game on the schedule - we cannot afford to lose it. If we do, the national narrative all season long will be: "Clemson doesn't play anybody in the regular season and when they did - they lost." Every Clemson hater in the media (and there are plenty of them) will use this loss as exhibit A that Clemson's "easy" regular season schedule is the reason for our success.
The only argument to help our case in the event of a loss is that it is the first game of the season with a new starting QB. However, I doubt that will carry a lot of weight compared to the negative press about our schedule that is sure to follow. It will especially be bad after UGA inevitably loses a game or two during the regular season like they always do.
Don't get me wrong as I would much rather play these type of challenging games than to a no name college. But we should not kid ourselves - until the rest of the ACC starts pulling their weight in football, any loss - regardless of who it is against - will be bad for our chances of making the CFP.

Worry not. UGA doesn't have a chance in this game. Browse TNET. You'll see what I mean.

That is not the point and because UGA recruits every year, it will be a down to the wire game. The point is that until the ACC has teams that can challenge us, we will most likely not make the playoffs with a loss.

We’ll be ok, we will be coming off another Natty, so we will get the benefit of the doubt. It will be 2023 before we have a chance to lose a game and that’s doubtful. It’s not setting up well for UGA in my opinion. (Y’all know with my family I give the dawgs the benefit of the doubt)
It’s setting up so well for us to beat the preseason champion in ‘21 & ‘23 & then win the Natty! Our recruiting in Georgia is only going to get better if we want them & they want to win a Championship in the next 40 years. (1980- 2019= 2020- 2039)
These are the days of the Tigers!

I agree, though I still sincerely believe that 2021 is a championship year for Clemson. At that point, they'll have the most talented team in the country with experience on top of that. I do believe they'll beat Georgia.
But if they don't, they don't. It's life and there will be more games.

No, the Notre Dame series is not the problem, scheduling teams like Wyoming, UConn and South Carolina State is the problem. At least we can look forward to being at the SC State game until the half so we can watch their band.

If there was ever a year to schedule a game like this, 2021 is the year. It will be peak Clemson football, the most talented team Dabo has ever had.
If DJ is ready, put this one in the bank.

Mentioning 'major out of conference game' and 'South Carolina' in the same sentence...
Now, that right there is funny.
