Got a rude awakening today................

In my 50 years as a Clemson man and many years as an IPTAY rep I have never met a Clemson guy who wasn't first rate.......... until today! As a rep, I always am looking for Clemson people who I don't know. There aren't many in this part of the country who I haven't met but I always carry a small gift pack of posters, pens, stickers, schedules etc. in case I run into a new guy. I did today and although he said he was a Clemson man he had to be a tarheel or gamecock in disguise. No way this guy was a Tiger. A##hole with a capital A. I've never met an alum, fan or whatever who refused to talk to me about Clemson. Hope none of you are like this charmer. If so, take your Clemson sticker off your car! Ruined my day.

I have to agree the folks I've met all over seem proud of the school and want to talk about it. even my friends from other schools have commented in the past on how much CU people love their school.
We dont turn out many like the one you ran into today but I guess everyone turns out a few unfortunately

Like you, I have never met a Clemson man or woman as the case may be who didn't want stop and talk Clemson even if only for a minute.

Concur with all. Whenever I see someone wearing a Clemson shirt, tigerpaw, hat, whatever....I will always make a point to go up to them and say, "Go Tigers." And to a man/woman, I get the same response. In fact, my wife (a coot) ####### at me because wherever we go - Caribbean, NYC, Europe, around the U.S. - we inevitably will run into fellow Tigers. Don't know why, but we do. After she grumbles about it, I just remind her that she can't escape because......"We're everywhere".

He may be a coot in disguise and have stolen the car, or it belonged to a real Clemson man, and he just had to borrow it, because his ragged out cootmobile was not road worthy. But, really, there are a few Clemson folks who carry a chip on their shoulders, too, or so I've been told.
