Which one of our board nutjobs is going to rant about the L.A. fires being caused by DEI or that these libs somehow deserve it or some other inane made up #### that they'll run away from when proven wrong?
I'll throw $50 on NC_Tiger if someone wants in.

body doubles for them so no one would know.
And that presidents are really body double actors (actually several actors). And that there is a secret group of some of the worlds worst dictators and human rights offenders, that have somehow all teamed together to fight pedophiles.
This is not even including you have stated that we are controlling the weather in some unknown nefarious attempt at harming our own population. You said that JFK was returning from the dead.
And Donald Trump is now in his 3rd term because he's been secretly controlling the military (but nothing else). And that "2020 was the greatest sting operation in history", and that Satan is in a war with good, which is the root to everything. I'm not even going to get into your antisemitic nonsense and your other religious craziness.
And you post all this with exactly zero proof, and think we are the dumb ones and should just believe it like you do. And because we don't, we "aren't awake yet".
Yes, you are host and MC of the crazy party.

It is awful what is happening, I will say would you rather have the governor of California or the governor of Florida dealing with a terrible event? Would you think the governor of Florida or the governor of California is a better executive and better at being proactive for dealing with future issues?

Uh... how about some middle ground...
Jan 10, 2025, 11:18 AM
|

It is unknown how the fires started at the moment - but arson or simple negligent behavior by residents or the homeless seem to be the most likely suspects.
Having said that - Can we all agree that the firefighters are doing their very best to contain this infernal beast with the resources they have? Can we also agree that those same firefighters are woefully under resourced for this fight? Finally - can we also agree that there has been gross incompetence in the resourcing, preparation, and disaster planning by the political and agency managerial leadership of LA and California?
What is happening in California is a disaster. No one should be happy that our fellow Americans are having their homes burned to the ground and their lives destroyed. We also shouldn't ignore the incompetence and mistakes made by the folks charged with ensuring the resources for preventing, mitigating, and fighting wild fires are operationally planned and available. After all - wild fires in California are not an unknown phenomena - it happens almost every day of the year in some part of the State.

It is awful and I agree. I do think that many do not think that their was incompetence but they are not giving their reasons for that view. I think the governor and the state legislature has done an extremely poor job.

How dare you make up what she earns out of thin air!! I mean sure it's public record and can be found a hundred different places online but the kooks don't appreciate their overpaid moron DEI hires being exposed as frauds who are looting the coffers of taxpayers. They'd absolutely rather have everything they own burn to the ground than admit that perhaps continuing to elect idiots because of their gender or who they like to #### isn't the best plan for success.

For the record - the thread is about the utility of sea based firefighting vessels. Quite frankly - I didn't watch the video as it wasn't overly important to the information in the thread of how sea vessels can be used to fight land based fires.

It will be started by man is my call. It usually is. The real issues now will be about how to fight them in the future? How to prevent them from growing? How to better respond? Best ways to rebuild? That will be a cluster F. How to deal with insurance issues? That will be an outrageous cluster F. Its going to be a huge mess.

market in California and how it will be a nightmare going forward. Don't envy the homeowners who will be caught up in this.
California can pull themselves out of this but it requires a shift in focus. Electing competent leaders is a good start but there also has to be a shift from spending too much time/money on cultural/social activism and return to the real problems of running their cities and daily concerns of the average tax paying citizens.

Yes, we can. As for your last sentence in that paragraph, I don't have the information to make that assumption, and to be fair, neither do you.
What is happening in California is a disaster. No one should be happy that our fellow Americans are having their homes burned to the ground and their lives destroyed.
