Friday night, hung out at Shoeless then Home Team for supper.

Saturday, bummed around a bit then back to Shoeless for the afternoon, went to hockey game.

Sunday, had a brew day with a buddy thinking of getting into the hobby.

tried to introduce them to Buster but that didn’t go well

Saturday watched UpU take on U Kentucky in baseball- Spartans lost 3-0 but held their own. They have a nice stadium and it’s free. (Will go to more games) then a birthday steak dinner with former in laws

Sunday usual stuff with mom

Took off on sattidy to Rock the Hill for a sorority family outing with kid_of at Winthrop. Had a nice lunch at Another Broken Egg and dinner at Hobo's. Both were excellent. I DID NOT have an RH Tig sighting.

Watched the refs swallow whistles for the last 20 seconds in LJ.

Went to Amelie's French Market for breakfast then back to Sinecar. Fought some acid reflux Sunday. Watched Matty rip apart Rivera.

9.9/10 (18.81/19 on the RH Covids scale) with additions for food, kid_of and deductions for acid reflux and I-85

Friday...worked from home. Wife-of went on girl trip to Black Mountain and I stayed home on kid duty. Don't remember what we did.

Saturday...took daughter and friend that spent the night to Mama Penn's for breakfast and then took them to do some shopping, etc...Hit Smoking Pig in Anderson for lunch. Did some odd jobs around the house, then took son-of to the Clemson BB game. Game was a lot of fun. He's been on the struggle bus the last many weeks, so it was good to get some one-on-one time with him and he had a good time...until the end of the game which sucked donkey nuts. Some really bad officiating down the stretch of that game...both ways...but the held ball call after Hall got the rebound, may have been the worst.

Sunday...lazy morning. Did some more piddling around the house. Watched some college BB and did some work work. Watched Remember the Titans (cause I can't NOT watch it when it's on)...final scene at the funeral gets me every time.

Friday: no practice, came home early, didn't do much

Saturday: daughter has a preseason HS soccer tournament, thought it was going to be a bit chilly, but, no cap, bruh, the wind was fierce af and I was not ready for that. Came home dehydrated af and feeling like shittake. Showered up, had some water and felt a little better until, watching the basketball team Brownell themselves into a loss.

Sunday: back to the tournament, no wind but chilly. I'm telling you, it's been a long time since the weather kicked my ### like this weekend. Got home late, ordered takeout and read a bit and went to sleep.

Friday evening went to that Frog Restaurant that was super expensive but still really good.

Saturday we took a train to Amsterdam from London. Went to the Anne Frank Museum which was very cool and worth it. Ate dinner at an Italian place, and got a goods nights rest.

Yesterday did a tour of the old windmills and such, clog making, Lunch at a seaside restaurant in Volerdam then boat ride to Marken island. Back to Amsterdam for a dinner at a a la carte steakhouse (American Beef is way better BTW). Coffee shop after and a great day overall.

Currently in Brugges Belgium

Friday, finished up work and headed up to Charlotte for Xtreme World Wresting at Lenny Boy Brewing. XWX does free shows at several breweries, and we've been following them for maybe about three years now. The wrestling was always more than adequate, but the promotion as a whole has come light years in terms of the quality of the matches and the overall show, and Friday night was the best yet. A couple of guys from the AML promotion in Winston-Salem came to wrestle, but the big surprise was a match with Matt Sydal who is a current AEW wrestler. XWX also put on their first-ever steel cage match, which was why Lenny Boy was packed the gills. Fantastic night, got to chat with and get a pic with Matt Sydal. Also got to meet The Man Named Dan, who does the Wrestling Road Stories podcast. Had never heard of it before, but I had on an AEW shirt and he latched on to me at the bar and put me on it. Listened to a few episodes over the week and it's quite entertaining.

Saturday, lots of chores, errands, and routine vet visit for the pup. We were going to go explore the haunted Billy Goat Bridge in Cherokee County that we had heard about, but scrapped that until we can get a little more info on that one. The internet didn't turn up a lot of info on it. Made meatball sandwiches for supper and watched TV I guess, don't exactly remember what.

Sunday, a grocery run was my great accomplishment for the day, off to Charlotte for Blackberry Smoke at Ovens Auditorium last night. Smoke put on a stellar show, as always.

Ovens Auditorium with assigned seats. The band put on the same stellar show as always, but the crowd energy wasn't the same. That said, it also cut down on a lot of the general redneckery I've seen at BBS general admission shows. The sound and sight lines were excellent last night, but I would like to throat-punch the lady who tried to film the entirety of the first 5 or 6 songs by holding a phone up in my way. Luckily, her fat little t-rex arms got tired and she sat down for the last 3/4 of the show. The more shows I go to, the more I think Jack White had the right idea to lock all the phones in bags upon entry. Even worse, I know these Neanderthal dolts will probably never look at the video once they get home. If it were my venue, I would have sharpshooters with high-powered .22 pellet rifles plinking the screens of every phone that went up over someone's head.

Saturday went to toasty indoor farmers market for first time. I was impressed with the number of vendors and we bought too much stuff. Then back home and met the 800junk truck to haul off an old sleeper sofa and a couple of mattresses, and then spent some time cleaning out the garage.
Sunday nice morning and got a few more chores done, then a nice long walk at Connestee. Came home and had dinner and then watched the True Detective finale (very entertaining).

All in all it was dang fine. 3 gold stars.

was had by someone, but not me.

Friday after school took daughter and a friend to the park to practice volleyball on one of the beach courts. Kinda fun, would have been nicer on the actual beach and it being 30 degrees warmer.

I spent Saturday on the road from Wilmington (6:15 AM departure) to Apex, NC for a soccer match. It was cold AF but we won. Son played REALLY well, keeper first half, zero goals given, and RW for second half. Had MULTIPLE crosses into the box but nobody could connect on them. He was pumped, usually plays GK and DM/CB. Then wasted 1.5 hours in Cary, NC before we ate at BurgerFi and then drove to Fayetville, NC so they youngest could play two soccer matches. It was cold AF but we won both. Son played well, but sometimes, when he is peaking on ADHD meds, his focus is TOO MUCH and he loses some of his recklessness that helps in soccer. So he played well, but a little timid. Missed a couple decent chances at goal, but had fun. Then drove back to Wilmington and got home by about 8:30. Shower and bed.

Up Sunday, hit the coffee shop, spill hot chocolate in my lap when I get out at the house, I was bringing that home for the youngest. Showered, watched some soccer on TV, ate lunch, then took daughter to Volleyball practice. From there got home, cleaned house and laundry, then dinner and grocery store run. Sleep then woke up at 1:30 with heartburn and couldn't get back to sleep.

Gym at 5:00 AM and in the office now.

Next weekend is a 2-Day Volleyball Tourney in Rocky Mount, NC so that one is going to be kinda meh as well.

Friday - I had one of those work meetings that almost ruined my entire weekend friday. I really hate corporate fuckwads. Keeping my mouth shut when I am angry is not something I'm good at, but I did it. Just a bunch of mickey mouse BS that's not worth my time.

Fri - pizza night. hung out w/ neighbors. couple of the waitresses gave me the lowdown on an after show for Billy strings this weekend.

Sat - luckily one of the gymnastics gym did this "pay to let your kids run around like psychos" deal, b/c it was cold AF, cloudy and miserable. 2 yr old prolly did about 4 dozen laps on the trampoline. 1 year old walked at least a mile. mission accomplished.

finished my book while wife went to get her nails done.

went and got wangs n brews

Sun - took 2 yr old on a grocery run. had seggs. went to a birthday party of dawghater2she HS frand's kid...bout an hour and a half away.

cooked a steak when we got home. started a new book.

Went to SEWE Saturday with some friends and watched the Dock Dogs competition. The labs of course did well, but I think a Australian sheep dog ended up winning the competition I watched. Pretty amazing how far and high those dogs cam jump.

Saw enough women wearing rancher style hats that it I thought there was going to be a barn raising, too. But those hats must have just come with the Barbour jackets they were all wearing. It really was kinda ridiculous. Dudes always pretty much dress the same, but I saw a bunch of guys in camo shirts and deer/duck hunting pants. I then realized that this was a costume party no one told me about.
