Friday night, Shoeless for beer share, one night I'll pay attention to the stuff we are sampling.
Saturday, late start to the day but then off to Sholess again for the Mug Club mixer. Had a few beers then off to Honea Path to the Fiddle and Bow to see Jason Ringenberg. This place was funky, with both Christian and ##### joke art. Jason was fantastic, he does all request for his second set so I got him to play Lost Highway and all was good.
Sunday, make some pancakes, did some shopping and a grocery run, then watched the Bills let everyone down.

Watched some good NFL games, ate some good Shrimp Chowder, stayed warm.
Good news is cold is going away, but five inches of rain coming this week. January sucks.

Highlight was walking dogs for a sick friend so she didn’t have to go out in it
Oh, also lost man card I guess. Watched Clemson gymnastics on TV - and enjoyed it.
Packed house and announcers couldn’t say enough good things about Clemson.

Went out for pizza on Fri night
Watched a lil football and basketball on Sat
Church yesterday morning. I did a little chainsawing. We actually found something yesterday with the metal detector that wasn't a beer can. I think it's a piece of a plow from the 50s.

Friday...was middle school BB appreciation night at TL Hanna, so took our team there and walked out on floor, etc...TLH girls lost and boys won. Late Messican for dinner with daughter-of, other coach, and his daughter.
Saturday...took wife-of and daughter-of to Helen. Wife's Christmas gift was a coocoo clock, but wanted her to pick it out. There is a legit coocoo clock store in Helen with the real deals from Germany. Had a great lunch at Hofer's, then coocoo clock shopping (went a little over budget, but the clock is pretty cool), then let daughter-of shop a bit in the trinket stores, froze our arses off, got to caramel corn, and hit the road back home. Made it back for the 2nd half of Clemson/FSU bball game. Good road win. Watched NFL playoffs and the bed.
Sunday...church, grocery, messican for lunch with daughter-of and her fraund, a little of the Lions game, then had our bball practice, watched Chiefs game, then bed.

Watched some feetball and the fighting Brownlees. HAd the All-In burger at Traditions (an excellent burger BTW).
Mostly low key stuff.

Club Volleyball season is upon us

Pizza on Friday night, the highlight of the weekend.
We spent all day Saturday, from about 7:30 leaving the house to around 6:00 getting back, at a Volleyball tournament in ILM. It was my daughter's first tourney, she was sick Friday but played Saturday. She did OK, the team did not. They lost all three matches. Should have won the first one, took a while to get the kinks out. Some of the teams were amazing. We will get there. The other team from her club also got swept so their Club hosted a tourney and went 0-6.
Up Sunday and daughter's fever had returned. Urgent care says she has the flu, so she probably should not have gone to the tourney, but in our defense, she was fever free all Saturday. Laundry and keeping warm. Did a weigh-in at the gym on Sunday and realized I had put on more weight than I thought. Switched to Vodka Soda this weekend, gonna make that change for a while. No more beers? Maybe, for now, or at least less.

Friday. Xtreme World Wrestling at Lenny Boy Brewing in Charlotte. Great show, Bobby Ballentyne retained the championship, the Whiskey Business tag team has now become babyfaces.
Saturday, cold hike with pup along the lake, grocery run, homemade pizza night.
Sunday, Jason Ringenberg of Jason & The Scorchers at the Tipsy Burro Honky Tonk Brunch. Awesome show, got to chat with Jason for a bit after. He did a bunch of Scorchers classics, his solo stuff, and some of his Farmer Jason tunes.

Hosted a longtime friend for the weekend who is going through a really rough time (surprise divorce and unrelated lost job at almost same time). He's doing pretty well, considering all, but I hate what he is going through.
We'd planned to go hiking but nasty cold weather combined with both of us coming off pretty good colds canceled that, so we stayed indoors. My own cold roared back to life Saturday afternoon so I ended up hack/cough/sleeping most of the afternoon. Did manage to see some FB.
Wife-of was gracious hostess and cooked amazing food all weekend.
Sunday woke up feeling better and had nice talk with Friend before he headed out with hugs and well-wishes. He's splitting time at his house with soon-to-be ex and will probably be back for some stretches over next few months.
Spent rest of day Sunday relaxing and drinking hot drinks while occasionally having coughing fits.
Playoff games didn't disappoint but the Bills did. What a crusher.
Overall rating:
Don't want to repeat, but didn't die. 1 out of 17 stars.

Friday: got home late, chilled and listened to music a bit
Saturday: up and went grocery shopping, got back and worked more in the yard cutting trees and clearing out all sorts fo vegetation. New neighbor has a chainsaw and a bucket truck. Watched some Clemson basketball, watched football later. Some where in there I watched the USMNT, bleh.
Sunday: slept in and was late to church, went to Sam's to get meat and dog food. Came back and meal prepped for the week. Watched the NFL, bed.
Yes it was cold but not a bad weekend,

Son of was in tourney with his travel baseball team. His team didn't win but they still got big ole championship rings because another team dropped out.
Daughter of had a horse show, she won out for real.
In summary, my wallet is a lot lighter but my kids sure are happy.
