Where Dabo gets it wrong and talking heads get it right

He’s the GOAT of all Clemson coaches. But even goats get old and slow and stubborn.
I heard this on ESPN and it may be the most accurate thing that network has ever said. “Players over plays.”
Dabo gets this wrong. He proves it by touting “the Clemson offense.” He said he brought GR in to run the Clemson offense. But that’s not how you get the most from your coaches and players. You have to run the offense that your CURRENT ROSTER has the talent to run. But for three seasons, Dabo stubbornly tries to run the same plays and schemes we aren’t equipped to make. He’s putting Cade in ridiculous situations he’s ill-equipped to handle. And we have to blame him, not Riley. Even if Riley agrees with Dabo, they’re both wrong.
Look, I’m no college coach. But my dad told me something I’ve never forgotten: “if 1-2 people say you’re wrong, ignore them and keep moving on. But if a multitude of people tell you you’re wrong, you should listen.”
When coaches and analysts are all saying the same thing; when thousands of Tiger fans agree; when you’re losing and when you’re having to defend yourself at every turn….. chances are you’re wrong.
Of course…. I could be wrong 😉

You’re 100% right, the sunshine pumpers might say otherwise though. They’re basically Kevin Bacon at the end of Animal House, “All is well! All is well!”

For me personally, I am open to disagreeing sentiment shared in this type of format. It’s when a similar message is delivered with an ungrateful, bitter, calling for his job sentiment that makes me want to stand up for our coach.

There may be some truth to that, but EVERYONE always knows how to do EVERYONE ELSE'S job better.

So many folks on Tnet seems to know how to Coach a college team successfully. However, none of these folks can get a job at the college level coaching. Interesting.

Seems it would be simple. And maybe I'm over simplifying it.
Tell Cade on his first series, pick your 5 favorite plays to run. The plays you're most comfortable running and run'em.
See what happens after that.

They have an agenda which promotes everything SEC and prefers the SEC over any and all. Dabo has been the thorn in their flesh starting back when TB threw that 4 and 16 completion to Nuk. Soon thereafter rumors of Dabo to be Nick's replacement. We know Saban had tried to recruit Dabo when he was our WR coach. I'd imagine Bama has reached out to Dabo several times.
Our last three seasons of distress over QB issues have delighted ESPN. They want to remove all the respect Dabo has worked so hard to gain for himself and Clemson.
You are catering to the enemy here, bud. You go on and fix their lunch and make sure their tea glasses are full.

I seriously doubt Dabo is taking advantage of free kicking camps.

even though it’s been brought up before. I just don’t think he’ll ever learn.
