Georgia fans are the worst I’ve ever been around bar none and I’ve been to most ACC and SEC stadiums. I’ve had some pretty obnoxious neighbors at WB but never a significant issue. There is no circumstance that I would take my child to a a Georgia game in Athens.

I was there in 91 and 94. Had beer bottles thrown at us on both occasions. Multiple times people getting in our faces on way in and out of stadium. Honestly never experienced anything close to it anywhere else. At risk of ridicule, I’ve also been with some USC fan friends and it was just as bad. I’ve also heard UGA band has to escort visiting bands in because UGA fans were throwing stuff at and getting in the way of visiting bands.

grandpa and his wife, who were wearing their Clemson orange overalls, after a game, which Georgia WON 30-0. Needless to say, other Clemson fans came to their aid and shooed off the offending Dawgs.

I’m not just saying this because they’re rivals, but because it’s true. It will be the absolute worst fanbase you ever have to deal with at an away game. I’ve been there for 15 straight trips and it’s rough every single time. If we start winning and it looks like they’re cooked they get even worse and start trying to pick fights. 1000000% make sure you sit in the Clemson section.

Obnoxious. If you are sitting near one get ready to hear stuff like "Hear Kitty Kitty" every time you get up. It happened to us last time until I gave them the "I'm about to open a can of whoop *** on you" look.
Been to Athens three times. Never heard a peek out of them. IMO Coots are much worse.

I wouldn’t sit in the student section, but I’ve seen two games there and it was relatively friendly.
UGA wasn’t so bad either, but I went to the cocktail party and it was a bit of a sh*t show.
NFL games seem to have the most drunk idiots trying to fight these days.
To me, southern football fans are the most passionate, but cross the line less.
Just don’t be an idiot and you’ll be fine. If not, make sure to throw the first punch.

But, great place to see & interact with Tigers in parking lots, take in the grand sights outside & inside, the sounds of hyper fans who tend to die down & leave stadium early.
Oh, Don’t believe their students in one end zoom still throw full plastic water bottles onto the field anymore but be aware.
Lastly, they don’t rush the field imho win or loss~

I've been several times. It can definitely get chippy. It's not the entire fan base, but a decent size and VERY vocal amount of them. If it's a night game, even worse. As others have said, much more pleasant to be in the Clemson section.
The worst experience we have had, at ANY away game, was at NC State. Horrible bunch of inbreds.
The best away experience was at VT and it was a night game. Kind of welcoming fan base even, and that place was rocking. Cool trip.

I went to lane stadium a couple weeks back place was nice. In comparison to something like Neyland it was nicer from the outside all the hookie stone. Hoping to go to the game up there next year as Blacksburg is only about 2 and a half hours from me or if they ever play WVU there for the black dimoand that might be cool to see a rivalry there.

Students can be pretty bad at times because the fraternity lot is nearby. A lot of obscene drunks …..it’s pretty bad. I’ve seen fights among the students in the middle of shop road and girls who are so drunk they can’t walk in a straight line coming back from the fraternity lot. You’ll get a lot of F Clemson. The white trash from nearby Olympia and Cayce aren’t much better. The school actually has a lot of great fans and we have many friends who are gamecocks. It’s a shame that certain portions of their Fanbase absolutely suck. Somewhat similar to NC State.
The school has done a good job of beautifying the areas around the stadium. But it’s still ghetto as ever. You will never see more trash, beer, wine, liquor bottles up and down Shop and Bluff Roads.
This is a good example of when some idiot on Tigernet says that we have the worst fans…… They really have ZERO idea what they’re talking about

To answer your questions...
1) No, they are not. Mouthy, but not hostile/belligerent like Jawja fans. Most will be gone by the 3rd quarter.
2) Don't drink any beverages containing doo doo ice.
3) Disinfect after the game
4) Take a rental car to the game. Any vehicles with Tiger paws, stickers, etc. will be vandalized.

There’s good and bad there. I’ve done a decent job of avoiding the bad ones, but not every time. I always recommend sitting in the Clemson seats…safety in numbers. Resist the urge to respond to them when they sling abuse your way, just smile and wave.
Mrs Noodle won’t go back. After the 63-17 game some of their fans were waiting outside the gates trying to pick fights. It was an ugly scene. Went back to our tailgate and they had vandalized our vehicles.

I have been to several games in Columbia and Athens (since that seems to be the two places everyone is bashing in this thread) and never had a problem at either place. Both places the fans have been welcoming and/or kept to themselves. I think for the most part at any away stadium you get back what you put out. If you go looking for trouble, you will probably find it. To be honest…in recent years our home fans have been uglier (to our players and coaches) than any other stadium I have been in. I have even seen our fans boo our own players right in front of recruits. It’s sad and embarrassing. But I think you will be fine in Columbia! Have fun, go tigers!

They are combative when they're losing and taunt you when they're winning. The last one I attended at the roach was the thumb game. Some stupid woman kept hitting me in the back of the head while waving her stupid #### rag- the white towels they were giving out at the gates. It sucked before, during, and especially after.

Our last game at WB was Charlie’s comeback win. My most favorite
WB game was 63-17. Other games included our win there in the first
Natty year 1981.

I sat near SCAR fans at Clemson at "The Brawl" game with my teenage son. The SCAR fans were in a fowl mood from the start, and I was embarrassed for my son to hear that language. He got a great lesson on how a fan should not behave.
At both rivalry games in Columbia during my college years, I was verbally abused. Night games there are awful probably due to their drunk fans, many of whom have never seen a college classroom.
