I genuinely wonder if JK is part of a paid social media presence. Even a modest extension and raise for Brad is gonna mean $15-20 million more in guaranteed money. That’s $1.5-2.0 million in fees for his agent. We’re probably just arguing with a rotating cast of interns in Jimmy Sexton’s office (I have no idea who Brownell’s agent is).

One of his most successful seasons and he’s aired grievances about the officials, the NET rankings, the BIG XII, fans, and his own players. His supporters would go ape on any rival coach behaving the way he has this season.

Yeah, that's internal. You play who you got. Its also how addresses it.
He also has two guys redshirting. Even one of those two could have added depth . Even Houaton, UConn, and Kansas, other powers don't do that...

Right - balance like finding minutes for your whole bench so that fatigue isn’t affecting your best players in a crucial stretch of the season.

Unless there has been a change you can redshirt and still play in up to 30% of a season’s games. Anyone wanting to redshirt that hasn’t played so far could safely play in any remaining games. Brownell is stuck in a cycle of coaching to save his job so invests little to nothing in many of his recruits. Dillon Hunter leads the team in asst / turnover ratio by a wide margin but struggles to see meaningful time. That would be well and good if he wasn’t likely expected to be the primary ball handler next season.

I replied in JKs thread that without Clark back and healthy and getting the double bye, we could be looking at a 1 and done. IMO, CBB needs to win at least one in the tournament or I could see a change being made by Neff.
We'll see. I think with Clark back a 100% and a rested Shief and PJ, we could definitely be a sweet 16 team. That's the benchmark for me. Win 1 and I am not thrilled but I think you have to keep him. 1 and done, it's time.

still makes too many boneheaded unforced turnovers, has too many long scoring droughts, and is too inconsistent to make a serious tournament run. I certainly hope I'm proven wrong. That said, if the team makes the NCAAT, and barring something unforeseen there is a strong likelihood that is going to happen, unfortunately, Neff is not going to fire Brownell.

Your posts read like we are a bubble team or worse.
We are really good. We aren't nearly as inconsistent and inefficient as you suggest.
It would make your arguments for a coaching change seem more reasonable if you at least showed an ability to be somewhat objective by putting your Brownell hatred aside and acknowledge the many good aspects of our team.

They certainly have the potential to be really good, but that's not going to happen with CBB at the helm.
As a side note, I don't hate CBB. I just don't think he's a good coach and that Clemson deserves better. I have 14 season of largely mediocre and inconsistent results to support my position.

So did he address the center shooting 3's instead of going in the post to exploit the mismatch or Beadle the turnover machine. He needs to address the players not getting a gameplan like UNC does of feeding the post to open up the jumpers and not the other way around.

Maybe Coach Brownell and agent can convince some decent HM or one of the top Mid Major leagues with two straight twenty seasons and 5 out of the last 8 that he can muster a good enough offer to get out of dodge...
