we allowed them to come in and set up shop, and they spit in our face. urban meyer talked about wanting his teams to play with a chip on their shoulder, well, if we don't have one after that gameday episode, we never will. y'all have to excuse me, i'm going over to kick the neighbors 2 pit bulls!

I wouldn't get too bothered by it. An old guy recovering from a stroke put a mascot's head on. He had to pick one of them.
The publicity this provided Clemson is priceless and being on this stage is what the team and university want and need.
The only problem I had was with Eric Stonestreet. I'm liked him and I appreciated what he said about Clemson, but I wish they would've picked someone with an association with the university.

Simply put, if it isn't an SEC school they couldn't care less. I guarantee if this game were in Athens it would have been a completely different show.

I'm so glad they did a segment on why we keep "pulling a Clemson." I hope the do the same for the sec when they do a florida game and ask, how the #3 ranked team in the country could lose to the #21 ranked team in the country in the sugar bowl. After all the sec is the baddest there is.

Well, let's face it. "Pulling a Clemson" has been a phrase in the lexicon of sports reporting for quite awhile now. Should we tell the talking heads that the the history of the Tiger football program is off limits?

would you please explain why you didn't see it. i mean, a whole segment on pulling a clemson, by svp? really? and also, and i won't take up much time with this, but not having a clemson related guest speaker, come'on. how often has that happened in cgd history? Was geared in Clemson's favor - except the pick by Corso. And honestly, I'd rather not have the pick so that the fan base in DV tonight is extra fired up.
I do know that i feel a win for the Tigers is a certain thing for some reason - im not even worried about UGA tonight under the lights - the winds are just blowing that way. I'm 110% confident in our men.

It was nothing that I didn't expect. And, it was good publicity for the school and team to have them on campus and have Dabo interviewed live. I am just glad Clemson Tom didn't do the picks.

agenda, lots of great Clemson PR. Unfortunately the purpose of Gameday is not to elevate the school they visit, it is for ESPN to elevate their own brand, which coincidentally is inextricably linked to the SEC. Also, just because a senile stroke-ridden old man puts on a Plushie UGA dog head doesn't mean ESPN dissed Clemson.
Overall, the nation got to see a lot of great Clemson spirit and see the class of our players and coach. In the end a very fair trade-off.

What do you want? you want ESPN to bow down and worship us for 4 hours? It is a NATIONAL show with national audience, Campus they visit is the back drop. They did show alot of focus on us with interviews, features and what not.
Just because Corso put on Dawg halmet you are pissed that they disrespected us? Gameday is great for our program and recruiting.
