during the summer time. I think that is a secondary violation at most, but that is why the players have "personal practice" during the summer without any coaches around.
I think Paterno got hit with this violation when he went to see a player and actually talked to him about something frivolous.
I know they certainly can't coach them or have any mandatory workouts.

It's teresting that playing pick-up basketball with a coach is a real problem for them but paying-out over $60,000 in illegal benefits and inducements to recruits, players and the parents of recruits and players, and arranging/giving jobs to the parents of recruits and players is completely justifiable sinces the end justifies the means.
When you have spent a lifetime as a perennial doormat, apparently that exacerbates the win at all costs mentality and justifies doing anything whatsoever that is required to get the result you want, regardless of the methods used whether those methods are illegal.
It really must suck to me them.
