If big money is going to continue to buy recruiting classes the we are no longer going to be at the top no matter who our coach becomes. We can’t raise enough money in Pickens County to keep up with Atlanta.

Maybe but Clemson is way more than Pickens County. We’ve got a decent size and successful alumni base which cares about football passionately. Sure there are plenty of larger and wealthier fan bases.
Specifically to GT, ATL is mostly UGA, other southern schools and transplants from everywhere. And a good portion of their students (and therefore alumni) don’t care anything about sports. Higher percentage of international students than most schools and those students and generally less likely to care about our crazy sport of American football.

I have already mentioned Ga Tech on here as one to watch. They have a large alumni base with money. They are also surrounded by fortune 100 companies. Dawgs had better be worried because they are no longer going to own the state of Georgia.

Exactly! The nil isn’t going away. Wealthy donors and a large fan/alumni base are needed. Michigan, Texas,uga are huge schools! Nil is not capped or controlled. Clemson nil can never beat some of those other schools.

Fixing to put a lot of money in their facilities as well. Things seem to be changing as far as getting serious about football in Atlanta. Good thing for the ACC as a whole and wish a few more schools would start to do the same thing. No reason some of the schools currently in conference cannot be top 25 programs.
