This team is playing well.

Being free of injuries helps a lot. Having fun also helps and I see it … this team enjoys getting out there getting it done.

Years ago John Wooden wrote that he foresaw his UCLA team starting to come together, starting to display their enjoyment of playing the game well. That was 1960 or so, before all the national titles.

It would be cheeky to write that I expect Brownell teams to replicate what UCLA did, or approach it. I say, though, that playing the game well is it’s own reward … keep having fun …

Usually in tight games they can hit a spurt with a few shots and stops on D to hold the margin with good free throw shooting and solid experienced guard play. It is a nice roster and fun to watch.

Don't worry about the John Wooden and UCLA comparisons for Clemson BB or any other school. No other team has won more than 4 national titles and Wooden won 10 in a 12 year span, 7 of them consecutively. I guess we can dream but Wooden set a bar that will probably never even be sniffed nor attained.
