Beating the Coots this season

Is very important for a lot of reasons but beating FSU is way more important. End the streak or win the ACC? I know lets do both but if you had to pick one?

A loss to either puts Clemson on the outside looking in to the playoff.
If I had to pick a poison I'd say at this point it is more important to beat the coots at Death Valley than to beat crab man on the road.
And I say this as a person living in the Midwest who doesn't have to face coots everyday but I think it is more important to get the state championship back after five years.

I was thinking the same oh how hard losing 6 in a row to the coots would be.But 3 in a row to FSU and 2 to crab boy would suck also.

FSU won the national championship this year and looks plenty loaded to do it again.
SCAR, IMHO hasn't even been that good the past 2 years. We just haven't played well enough to beat them.
If we were facing 2 in a row, 3 in a row--- heck even 4 in a row --- give me FSU. But we're facing 6 in a row. We haven't even won 6 in a row since the '30s.
Give me the Coots. FSU is actually an elite team and we'll have an excuse to lose to them when playing on the road in Cole's 3rd start.

My take is we END the streak. And we beat UGA close.

We only beat FSU if Stoudt is much better than Tajh, OL clicks with a RB (probably Gallman) who distinguishes himself, and our Defense is greatly improved from last year's squad. FSU will be a big challenge. SC is going down.

For me - I would rather go 1-11 and beat the chickens. Losing 6 in a row starts putting the coaches on some hot seats IMO. I don't care how dang good our recruiting is - if it can't produce a win over a team in 6 freaking years - something needs a serious adjustment. Just saying. If you have issues with that concept, talk to UT about Johnny Majors that only lost 1-2 games per year, but could not beat Bama. They canned him. Yeh - it probably wasn't the right thing to do, but you guys that don't seem to give a chit about beating the chickens must have slept thru that class. That goes for our players and coaches too. Deal with it.
That said - if we can't beat the chickens, we definitely are not good enough to beat FSU at Doak. That is simply not possible.

We got to find a way not to be UGA in the UGA-UF games
Jun 20, 2014, 2:48 PM

from 1990-2001 when SOS was coaching. During those 12 years UF beat UGA 11 times. The Dawgs only had one victory in 12 years at the "World's Largest Cocktail Party" in Jacksonville. Ugh.
We have to find a way to win this year and carry the battle to them in Cooterville the next year.
GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beating SCar more important to the overall goal

Losing to FSU in the early season would likely mean not making the ACCCG, but we could recover from it by winning out and still have a good chance of being a playoff team--especially if FSU goes undefeated again, and UGA and SCar are otherwise top 10 or top 15 teams. Losing to SCar in the last game would almost certainly mean being left out of the playoff picture.
Plus if I have to live in this state for one more year listening to SCar fans crowing, I might have to take drastic measures.

Beat the COOTS. No matter what. Lose every game but beat them. Do anything. All in. Balls to the wall. Try anything. Beat the COOTS. Let me on the field. No Mr. nice guy. A fan asked at the Florence meeting to Dabo: " If we are leading in the 4th.. Do you promise not to let up ? He promised. Spurrier sucks as a person.. I wish he sucked as a coach.....

If the objective is to turn Greenville into cootland, it's working. It is truly unbelievable that we would lose 5 in a row. And as of today we are the underdog for this years game. It is clear that it is about player strength. At some point it will be like the Jack supporters who have finally given up the argument.

If you are physically strong the mental strength will follow. Our guys have known who was the stronger team the past few years. If you go position by position by position we may have had 4 or 5 out of 22 where we were stronger.
