Wow I just tuned into FSU vs Florida baseball game.
FSU is 14-0 record wise and up 3 runs on the road at #8 Florida.
Maybe Link Jarrett really is the guy for them
Lots of competition this year, but I still don’t think anybody is better than Clemson in the ACC.

if your beliefs are valid after this weekend’s series vs Duke. I do think we’ll go as far as our pitching can carry us. We play the field solidly and swing the bats above average . . . just praying the pitching continues to improve.

Yeah Duke obviously won the Wake series on the road.
But Wake Forest just isn’t going to be as good this year. Losing Lowder and other pitchers will have an effect.
I think Duke has better pitching than hitting. Which works for us. Because not one single pitcher until maybe Super Regionals or Omaha will be able to stop our lineup.

Duke is a very good offensive paseball team. Pitching needs to be on this weekend. I see a high scoring series.

Duke is good but I’d put them behind Clemson and FSU. Just overall threat of the team doesn’t seem like Clemson and FSU. So far.
I see Clemson plain outhit these teams. I can see predictions going into these series being, “Duke has great pitching and so does FSU, so they will limit Clemson.”
I promise you there are zero pitching staffs in the ACC that will limit Clemson at all.
Cannarella is projected to be the 1st pick of the 2025 draft. Will Taylor is a first round talent. So on. These college pitchers are at a level that Cam is already miles past. There’s nothing that Cam cannot square up. And his doubles that provide a run or multiple runs, they really obviously make a huge difference.
But it’s credit to Bakich, he has changed the hitting approach since Monte that’s for sure.

Cam is starting a throwing program this week. The biggest thing is getting Will Taylor and Blake Wright going. The rest of the players to this point are holding their weight, and when you factor in Mathes hitting .400, Rocki hitting .387, ciufo, Hinderleider and Obertop coming on, if those 2 can get going this is a dangerous lineup

Man they sank Wake from #1 to almost out of the top 10. Meanwhile moving a good but over valued Arkansas team to #1, who has lost to James Madison.
Duke and Wake are both Omaha threats, even though both lost tonight. Ranked SEC teams are losing as well, don’t seem to take the same hit they dole out to the ACC teams who have blemishes to better clubs.
The Carolinas are loaded with top teams unlike anywhere else.
I think our pitching will continue to improve, our offense can score in bunches and scratch one out when in a pinch.
Florida having half a dozen losses yet remaining too 10 is all you need to know about the world of SEC bias, in all sports. We wouldn’t be top 50 with 6 losses.

I’m not saying fsu isn’t good but there competition beside Florida has been blah. They have some good hitters and pitchers. Remember ucf cam leiter yeah he is one of of fsu now. Will be tough this year for sure. But wake will be fine. They have Hartle, burns from Tennessee and Massey

You’re acting like going 15-0 in college baseball signifies nothing. Acting like it’s not the hardest thing to do.
It’s also baseball. On one given day in March, Clemson lost to Kennessaw State at home by 17 runs. Losses can come from nowhere.
FSU is good. They’re going to be right there with Clemson at the end.
Clemson had a bad domino effect in that loss. And it was due to our starter not performing well at all. But FSU has avoided that. Clemson is truly still better though.

Yeah but we know how baseball can . They’re still winning every game and look at all the massive upsets we’ve already seen this season. A lot of them coming from small opponents that we’ve already beaten, such as Xavier and UNC Greensboro. With a lot of crazy stuff happening, there is something to be said for winning. FSU has some really good left-handed arms with good stuff. They have good left-handed hitters and they have good speed. They bunt the ball well and they drive mistakes hard.

The reason why they aren’t ranked right now is because of who they have played. It’s an easy concept. I mean I suspect them to be near the top they have good pieces but let’s wait and see. Heck even for us let’s wait. Heck many think wake since dropping a series isn’t good. A lot of ball left in a tough conference. Not taking anything away from fsu but hold on.
