FSU & CLEMSON HAVE A WAY OUT

ESPN is looking out for ESPN. They are willing to keep FSU and Clemson out of the SEC so ESPN still has ACC games to televise that people will watch. So, they are playing hardball and are giving FSU and CLEMSON the middle finger while telling them to accept the fact that they are just going to have to lose millions of dollars to help ESPN make millions.
Time for FSU & CLEMSON to go on the offense and play hardball back. Get the BIG to extend an invite by telling BIG that they want to join that conference and have found a way to void the GOR. Invoke sovereign immunity and tell ACC & ESPN to eff off.
FSU AND CLEMSON need to be just as ruthless as the ACC and ESPN. This is about money and FSU & CU have as much right to do what they have to as does ESPN. IN FACT, the state legislatures in Fl and SC need to tell their team, get out of the ACC. You are costing tax payers money by remaining. ESPN and SEC can then lose both teams to the BIG or let both teams join SEC if they wish. Time someone grew a set.

Bravo! Nice to see someone who completely gets it! People posting this and that about possible ACC additions...lol, that ain't going to move the needle let alone change the fact that if we're not in the SEC or Big10, say goodbye to ever being a national power again. And agreed with you on them needing to play hard ball with the SEC. Simple fact is the SEC doesn't want the Big10 coming into the South, to threaten leaving (FSU AND CLEMSON) for the Big10 - two huge brands, in the heart of the South, etc...should be good leverage.

We need to be as ruthless as necessary to get into either the SEC or Big10 and out of the ACC. I’ve felt loyal to the ACC in the past but not anymore.

Speaking of leverage. Disney just reported latest quarterly earnings. The lost 465 million dollars for the quarter. They are not going to pony up more money, but they sure as heck don't want to lose FSU and CLEMSON from their stable. They are reporting that going forward they are going to monetize their streaming services even more. That is why ESPN has said they are going to eventually be streaming only.

Problem is the Big Ten doesn't want either one

Oh sure they'd love to have their football reputation. But that academic thing with the AU will keep them out. I've seen many Big Ten based videos. They are more interested in Stanford. Because they have brains apparently.

So the answer is NO. Not yes. You don't have to be AAU

It’s a bit comical to hear all this high academic nonsense from the Big10. Outside of Michigan and Northwestern, what are we talking about? If you have a pulse and live in one of those midwestern states, you are pretty easily getting into one of those joints that has an enrollment of 60K. I think PSU has 90K students - convert oxygen into CO2 and you are in.

You should follow GENETICS56 on Twitter. More plugged in than any “big 10” video you’ve watched. The big 10 wants Clemson and FSU bad.

the south's premier programs, if for no other reason, than to have greater inroads into southern recruiting.
To wit: B1G programs playinf football in southern stadiums frequently, while typically drawing packed crowds. Imagine OSU, Michigan, Penn State and others in DV or Doak, with TV audiences spread across the south and midwest. Obviously, the B1G would promote the Hades out of that to attract greater attention from good, ole boys in the South in recruitment mode.
That's a main reason why I believe allowing the B1G to attract us and FSU...possibly more...would be a colossal mistake by the SEC.

Once bitten, twice shy, folks…it’s just the reality those of you who are dreaming of a SEC future must face…
I hate it that the major 48, 56, or 64 Football teams couldn’t find a way to establish a “Football only” league while permitting the rest of the Olympic Sports programs to remain in their respective leagues. Football is the cash cow but don’t believe these people are smarter than we are because they’re not.

Clemson is a state supported school so of course tax payer money comes in just like it does for every other state school.
