Frank Howard wound have been fired 20+ times

if you take 1 bad season as reason to fire a coach, Coach Howard would have been let go many times. Let Dabo do his job. He knows coaches need to go, or things will only get worse.
The worst can sometimes bring about needed change. That’s my take on this season, and hopefully that needed change starts today. Everyone needs to be held accountable, and everyone needs to shoulder the blame. You can bet there will be coaching changes at the end of the season, because Dabo is seeing for himself that professionals need to be coached by professionals. My guess is that Conn, Spiller, and a couple others will be replaced at season’s end. It will be an interesting offseason for the Clemson Football team.
Dabo deserves the same respect as Coach Howard was afforded.

it's a very, very different world not only in college football, but Clemson's place in college football and the expectations that go with that.

I love Dabo and everything he's done, and I support his efforts to get this corected. He'll always be remembered with respect and admiration by Clemson fans. But this ain't 1969.

Above all else, love and forgive. Understand that people who disagree with you are not necessarily idiots or your enemies. Respect the wisdom of the founding fathers and individual rights and freedoms. Always see the beauty and humor in life.

Clemson's place in college football is a program who had a flash in the pan 10 year ago and fell off. We are back in the early 2000s now, enjoy it

I think Dabo replaces more coaches than we are expecting. A lot more !***

If he only replaces 3 or 4 it won't solve the coaching problem. 90% of the coaching staff are incompetent and brought no experience to the job. A complete house cleaning needs to take place. You replace incompetent coaching tree with experienced coaches and you are far ahead of where you currently find the team sinking like the titanic.

I dont think he will "fire" them all. I expect some of them to leave on their own instead of getting fired.

Howard went 3-7 in 1964 and 5-5 the next year and wasn't fired. He had 7 seasons at .500 or worse once in the ACC.
Expectations were different then.

True, but he made $25K. Granted that's over $200K today, adjusted

for inflation. Decent pay, but nothing crazy. Easier to cut coaches a little slack when they're not signing $100 million contracts. I also remember Charlie Pell said he and wife danced in the kitchen when he got the phone call to coach Clemson for $40K in 1977. Very different times.

but he only won 55% of his games. That would get any coach at a major program fired these days.

He will get his opportunity but he need to be bold and results need to show improvement quickly.

If we sit here next season with similar results, there should not be more chances to come.

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.

Rightfully so. He was a .580 coach and only .500 vs the coots.

Sorry… I’ve been at a golf tournament all day. Awesome day!!! I just got finished reading all the replies, and most were not off the rail. I really feel that the fans are the biggest change over the years. We all demand more of our teams now than in the past.It may be the money or not, but it will always come down to blocking and tackling and we are not doing either well right now. I’ve been patient, but it’s time for Dabo to make some needed changes. I still trust him to make those changes on both sides of the ball.
