sunflower seeds at 40# for $19.99. That's about half of what they are everywhere else. Even that feeder "mix" that the birds won't eat is $29.99 at Sam's for 40#.
I went in on other business but bought 3 bags when I saw the price. They'll go through it with this cold weather coming.

feasting right now. Most of it is the black sunflower seed mix, but the tiny "songbird mix" is getting wiped out too.

If you pour fresh, unused coffee grounds around the poles of the feeders it seems to keep them away. We tried everything and works second only to my 12 gauge pump.

Hey, squirrels have to eat too. I welcome any wild creatures to my feeders, except coons and possums. I remove most of the seeds late afternoon because I have a coon and possum that visit at night and damage my feeders. I too, get my seed from Tractor Supply and the sunflower seeds are at the lowest price in many months. I wish they carried white millet.

Anybody use sunflower hearts? Dang birds that visit devour those things. Had to quit putting them out for a few months because Im struggling to keep up.
