becoming healthier, healing your body, no longer suffering from chronic diseases, etc. I implore you to watch this video. This video has changed my life. I was never obese or anything, but my diet was a lot of greasy foods, sweets, alcohol, etc. and I started to have gall bladder/kidney issues at only 26 years old. After watching this video, I completely changed my diet and lifestyle and have not had one problem since. I have not even gotten sick in the two years I've been doing it! I showed it to my brother and he has since come off of all of his diabetes medications.

It should mean more that all of this information is coming from a cardiologist that is NOT TRYING TO SELL YOU ANYTHING. Not pushing pharmaceuticals on anyone, but instead teaching them how to heal their body how nature intended. Our bodies are amazing, but our modern diet has pretty much crippled all of its failsafe's, interlocks, healing mechanisms and many other things. I am not trying to preach to anyone how to live their lives, but I do hope that it can make at least one other person's life better/more enjoyable like it did mine and my brother's.

I had seen the info before. I fully agree with it. Unfortunately, I can't do it! Way back in 1997, I was diagnosed with sarcoidosis. They put me on 60 mg of prednisone, and I was at that dose for three years! I gained 60 pounds in less than 2 months, because if I did not eat roughly every 4 hours, I would get very sick with nausea. By the end of the three years of steroids, I had gained over 100 pounds.

When I finally got of the steroids, many more problems started...caused by the steroid use! My endocrine system was so messed up, that my legs would swell up so bad that the skin would droop over my shoes. Come to find out, I was no longer producing cortisol, among other problems. I also retain the problem with not eating...if I go without food more than 4 hours, I start getting nauseated. After 20 years of this, I have lost only half the weight that was gained...and it takes a whole lot more to lose the weight than it used to. To top it off, the long term steroid use caused a type of muscular dystrophy called periodic paralysis, Which, I am the only one that has the disease that it is not periodic, it is all the time, it takes me about 4 hours to get going every day.

So, for everyone else, the philosophy behind fasting is sound...go for it!

Sheesh, I am sorry to hear that! I wonder if fasting when you were diagnosed instead of the high dosage of prednisone would have had a better effect on the sarcoidosis. Fasting is extremely beneficial for reducing inflammation and repairing the immune system. The high dosage of prednisone seems like overkill.

But I am by no means a medical doctor, so I cannot speak on that. Just a hypothesis that we will never know the answer to. I am just a man who likes learning, especially about health and the health benefits found in fasting have won a few Nobel prizes since 2016. It is still very young, but it makes sense. Especially when you get down to the genetics of it. Humans were not meant to eat 3/4/5/6 times a day. We were meant to eat once (maybe twice) every day or every few days and spend the rest of that time looking for our next food/water source and sleeping.

No, essentially, sarcoidosis is your immune system working too good! It starts attacking you body.I have been blinded four different times, as it attacked the nerves from my eye (luckily, only once was it both eyes at the same time). Each time lasted about 4 days. Other organs that were affected were my lungs (with permanent damage), my lymph system (had a grapefruit sized mass on lymph nodes, which is how I got diagnosed, they thought it was lymphoma due to earlier squamous cell carcinomas cut out (also caused by the sarcoid), that cost me $40,000 after insurance), my intestines, many nose bleeds due to sinus problems, fever every night for more than a year, extreme fatigue, etc. One doctor told me sarcoid was like chronic fatigue syndrome, lupus, and fibromyalgia rolled into one. I really think the steroids saved my life, but the doctors would not let me get off them after that. I finally told all 9 of my doctors that I was getting off them, and it took over a year (every time I dropped 5 mgs, my legs would swell up twice the size or more...had to wait many days for that to subside before I could try to go down again.

Could go on, but you get the picture...the only solution was to suppress my immune system, not enhance it! Steroids did that. On a side note, since 1995 until covid, I never got the flu or a virus! As to covid, I was already on vitamin D, which is proven to be the most effective treatment for covid (over 80% of those who died were deficient on vitamin D), and took zinc lozenges as soon as symptoms started...Neither my wife or I had it for more than 5 days, and it was less problem than the flu...she did lose her sense of smell, for two days. We took no meds/shots, and it happened in September of 2020.

Doesn't fasting contribute to gallstones?

"So far, no epidemiologic studies have shown an increased risk of gallstones in people following intermittent fasting diet plans. However, any change in your diet should be discussed with your doctor before starting, especially if you have a family history of gallstones or have had them in the past."

-Gallstone Clinic

I think if you are predisposed to gallstones genetically, than yes I'm sure it could cause them. Also, eating higher cholesterol foods during your feeding periods and not drinking enough water could also probably lead to a higher chance of causing gallstones. I just stick to very low-fat meats (chicken and turkey) and when I do eat higher fat meats, it is usually in the form of salmon. This, combined with a large amount of vegetables (spinach, carrots, broccoli, etc.) have led to amazing health benefits. Also, I suffered with an overactive gallbladder (probably from all of the fried, greasy meat I ate), not gallstones. So I really have no way to speak on the matter other than what the research says, and that seems pretty inconclusive.
