Does anyone know what the weekend rotation will look like?

If Hughes can develop a 3rd pitch, he'll be a huge help. Any word on some of the new arms?

We lost a ton of hits and runs to draft, graduation and Amick transferring. Taylor, Cam and Wright will be the experienced bats.

Any word on who will take over at shortstop?

Looking forward to Spring.

Love some baseball talk...

The top names for the rotation are Austin Gordon, Tristan Smith, Ethan Darden, and Billy Barlow. Will be interesting to see which one of them doesn't end up in the top 3. Wofford transfer Marchal is another option.

Wright should be moving back to 2B. I believe the early indications are Hinderleider, the transfer from Davidson, is in the lead to take over at SS. Ciufo is another transfer contending at shortstop, as well as freshman Purify. Other than Wright being in there somewhere, the infield is a wide open competition from what I gather.

This is just what I've gathered from the D1 Baseball reports and preseason interviews with Bakich. He doesn't show his hand much in the preseason interviews. Hopefully there will be better intel available after the scrimmages this weekend.

Last year some of the rumors about him and the portal were that he was desperate to move to shortstop. Any idea if there’s any truth to that?

I don't know if there is any truth to him considering transferring. It does sound like some schools reached out to him about transferring (aka tampering through an intermediary). He shut down the rumors pretty quickly from what I remember.

Cam will be in centerfield for the Tigers though...count on that. He's too good out there.

Bakich only spoke about him as holding down his spot in CF in a couple preseason interviews I watched.

Big Bang Cam will be in Center all year this spring, he did however play SS most of his HS career.
