ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Broncos backup quarterback Chad Kelly was arrested on a charge of first-degree criminal trespass early Tuesday morning, the Englewood Police Department said.
Officers responded to the 3200 block of South Lincoln Street about 1:15 a.m. on a report of a man standing outside a residence.
According to an arrest affidavit, one of the homeowners, Nancy Lozano, was sitting on a couch just inside the front door while holding their young child when Kelly entered uninvited and sat down next to her, mumbling incoherently.
Lozano called for a second resident, Marco Torres, who confronted Kelly and hit him with an aluminum vacuum tube with plastic ends in the upper back as he kicked Kelly out of the house.
Torres told police the doors to the residence were locked, but there were no signs of forced entry.
Officers began to search the area after reviewing security video of the front of the house that showed a man wearing dark pants, a white long-sleeve shirt with a brown vest and a red scarf around his neck.
His clothing appeared to be disheveled, police said.
A man matching the description was found inside a black SUV in front of the Gothic Theatre on South Broadway not far from the residence.
The man was detained without incident and he identified himself to officers as Kelly.
Torres was brought to the Gothic Theatre where he positively identified Kelly as the man who entered the residence.
Torres told officers he wanted to pursue criminal charges. Kelly was then arrested and booked into the Arapahoe County Jail.
Police said the investigation is ongoing. Kelly had a blood alcohol content level of 0 percent, police said.
Kelly made an appearance in an Arapahoe County courthouse later Tuesday morning and has been released. It’s not known if he had to post bond. He was represented by a public defender.
“We are disappointed that Chad Kelly was arrested early this morning,” the Broncos said in a statement. “Our organization has been in contact with Chad and we are in the process of gathering more information.”

Wonder why they didn't say, "former Ole Miss QB". I am not even sure which of the secheat teams he went to, but maybe it was the Miss. school. Funny he still would be mentioned as a Clemson player when we kicked him to the curb pretty quickly, what now seems like a long time ago.

Total embarrassment to the Kelly Family, Check, Check, and double X2 Checked!!! I just don't understand how somebody that has had all the advantages that Chad has had in his life, what went wrong in that wealthy family in the raising of that young man. It does seem that he is totally #### bent on throwing away what could be an easy life for himself and what ever family he could have of his own one day. That kid needs months on the couch with a top notch shrink!!! He has had opportunities that most people his age pray for and never get. I hate it for him, I really do, but when you make your life rough as he has, he deserves what ever happens!!!

No big deal and it’s a story but imo, headline is clickbait and as little of time he was here, I honestly don’t consider him a clemson qb.
I’d say: clemson player that got kicked out our program gets arrested...
Media outlets tend to scrape these headlines and they’re totally misleading. I could have lived with someone else posting this on the boreds.

Definitely is narcissistic plus probably some other personality disorder. Wonder if they did a blood test? Sitting on a couch and mumbling is not normal behavior-after "trespassing"
And there's more to the story somewhere. Even Chad wouldn't walk into some random house where the door happened to be open.
